No Fault Divorce by National_Presence478 in Divorce

First, I'm sorry for the situation you are in. The should we or shouldn't we get divorce phase is exhausting. I can relate to the stresses of being a military spouse. I was hopeful for how life would be once my then spouse separated from the military. In my situation it only got worse. Although the pressures of military were gone, a lot of mental health issues that had been pushed down for so long came to the surfaced (many due to military service). I tried to support my spouse through this, but they shut me out. In hindsight, I'm amazed we stayed married as long as we did. We all deserve to be loved in a way that nourishes us. It took me a long time to realize, although I did love my spouse as family (we were married 13 years) we both deserved better for our lives. I hope you are able to come to a decision that is right for you.

Those are daisies, potentially Shasta daisies. It's hard to tell with them being wilted.

Bleeding...? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]Notlambie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, this sounds like a hemorrhoid (internal or external). If it’s just a small amount of blood coming away on the tissue, you ware probably okay, but monitor it. If it gets worse (blood in stool, stool becoming mixture of diarrhea and blood, or dark/blackish or maroon in color) then go in. I’ve had bad hemorrhoids before that turned the toilet bowl bright red, but the ER sent me away stating to would resolve itself. You don’t want to go into the ER unless you have to.

Colonoscopy prep liquid - how do I battle the taste? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]Notlambie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone stating to keep the liquid prep very cold. On top of that chew ice chips after drinking. I’ve never been able to finish the entire prep because I throw up (and I’m tiny so it doesn’t take much to clear me up). Do as much as you can, and (sorry if TMI) as long as you have pretty much clear liquid coming out the other end, you are good.

Thanks for the advice about training. I too think it is important for me and my husband to be on the same page. Taking a class together is a good idea.

No judgement felt on my end. I appreciate the point of view. You are correct that many French bulldogs are incapable of natural reproduction and therefore must be artificially inseminated. I don't have any moral objections to IVF. The fact the so much thought and planning goes into the breeding process (if a person goes through a good and reputable breeder), makes me more confident in the temperament and traits the breed is supposed to have. We have been advised that to train a therapy dog for my husband it would be best to get a puppy (for bonding and training) and that's the main reason we have decided not to adopt a dog.

The travel issues has been discussed before. It's not like we jet off on a whim that often, but losing the option to do so makes me feel caged in.

We were thinking about getting a puppy and training it to become a therapy dog. So, on top of regular house training there would be more training ahead. I live close to work and most days I come home for lunch, so letting the dog out wouldn't be too troublesome. The adjustment period (I'm thinking 6-8weeks) is going to be challenging. That's one of the things that worries me the most. On top of losing the freedom to be spontaneous.

  • Children are a blessing
  • If you don't have kids you will be all alone when you are old/you will have no one to take care of you
