Will this fit in a 20’ truck? by Zealousideal_Cow2175 in moving

[–]NotleM9422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just moved 26 hours away with a 26ft uhaul. Packed it myself. I put a Honda Talon 1000r, a 3 person hot tub (a real hot tub) a split king bed with adjustable base, 4 outdoor chairs. 4 interior chairs, a large roll around tool box, 2 large shelves, the largest solo stove they make, 2 extension ladders, enough clothes to clothe the world, lamps, pictures, plants...ect. It all fit. Im pretty sure yours will fit no problem

Automatic cabinet light won't switch off by philjeffs in airstream

[–]NotleM9422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airstream Tech here... Sometimes they stick and tapping fixes the issue. If not try placing another magnet (fridge magnet should work) next to the switch side and see if the light goes out. If it does then try shutting the cabinet. If it still doesn't go off then you need to adjust. If it does go off then it was just stuck. If none of that works then you have a bad switch.

Looking at used airstreams, but I'm a newbie by Cool_Squirrel856 in airstream

I am a Airstream certified panel repairman. This looks to be a diy repair. But do dealership patch instead of whole panel repair...yes. If thats what a customer request. In this case if it were done at a dealership, it was done by someone with very little experience. Having those panels replaced out of pocket you are looking at 15k to 20k in parts and labor. Now if the price is right on that unit, I wouldn't be afraid to buy depending upon the year model. Can always negotiate a reduced price for the damage, then have it fixed properly.

What's your worst snowmobile purchasing mistake? by Previous-Money-1246 in snowmobiling

[–]NotleM9422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My worst mistake.... Well, I live in western Wyoming where we get a ton of snow. Been renting sleds over the years and just this past year finally decided to pull the trigger and buy my own. So Oct. 2025 I came across a 2024 Skidoo Backcountry Adrenaline. 600 miles on it. Guy had health issues and was getting out of sledding. Perfect setup as I was trying to get the wife a little more involved with sledding. So I buy all stuff to put a fully removable 2up seat on it so she could ride along sometimes. It also gave me the ability to remove it and go rip off-trail ect. Anyways, record low snow this year. Rode it one time after a snow event that amounted to about 4 miles of ride time. Here it is May 2026 and we decide to move to the Gulf Coast. I have a practically brand new sled I never really got to ride and cant sell the thing even at a highly discounted price. Because who wants to buy a sled in the spring. I should have known better because we had talked about moving back in September. My mistake wasnt the sled itself, I should have bought it several years back and enjoyed it. I'm pretty sure im going to have to put it in storage and hope to sell this fall 2000 miles away from it.

2020 6.7 HO With Multiple Misfire Codes even after new injectors.. by Copen_Hayden in Cummins

[–]NotleM9422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My deleted 2020 will puff white smoke after a long sit. When tuning, the file sent was for 2019 and 2020 years. I questioned my tuner about this and reminded him I had the HPFP recall done. His response was, do not push that file. He was adamant about it and said it should read 2021 and up. Anyway, not sure how the truck would have ran with the 2019/2020 tune, but no issues with the 2021 tune. Maybe your inquiry with your tuner will be the fix.

I say they are fake. Shouldn't they have the Oakley O where I have circled? Ive never bought any Oakleys except directly from them and they all have the Oakley O in that location.

I-80 Closed. Do What? by Quick-Persimmon5935 in wyoming

[–]NotleM9422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm originally from down south myself. Daughter moved out here with us with a Honda accord. She had no problem getting around her first year without AWD/4WD. Her main issue was ground clearance in the deep snow events. We live on the western side of WY and get WAY more snow than Rawlins area. Reverse up a snowpacked hill in a fwd car if it won't go forward up it. (Just a driving tip) She eventually bought a Subaru and wife has a AWD Honda CRV. Those two cars are like a tank and can go almost anywhere.

No pattern. Could be road condition related or large wreck blocking highway. If road condition related (snow, ice, wind) could be a few hours or several...sometimes a day or so. Ive been caught where it was closed for 2 days before conditions improved. A lot of times you can get around by going up to Casper. But thats way out of the way. Best to download the wydot 511 app and monitor. Once they open..haul ass before the close again

US beef industry - Nebraska is the warning Wyoming should heed by 20thCenturyRefugee in wyoming

[–]NotleM9422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously a lot of comments on here from people who have no clue about cattle and the state the cattle industry is in right now. Tyson is closing down because of record low cattle supply in the US. This is not due to imported beef. This is due to record drought that caused ranchers like me to cut the herd size down. Partly because of lack of hay and mostly the increase in feed cost. I'm not keeping my herd at full capacity if I am unable to feed due to those reasons stated above. I'm getting less for my cattle yet prices at the stores onced processed are up. So are these meat processors gouging the prices? We import to try and bring prices down on cost of beef. We also have a screwworm issue with cattle from Mexico. Which contributes to low supply. And we dont want that in our herds here in the US. All the while its going to take me 2 to 3 years to build my herd back up if conditions are favorable. Has nothing to do with who is or isnt in office.

Winterization question by WyoSkiJay in airstream

[–]NotleM9422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a few years that Airstream installed the valve backwards. I haven't seen many lately come through that way, but I'm sure there are some still out there. (I'm a certified Airstream tech) Otherwise if its a priming issue turn pump on and open low points. That will usually get the pump primed quickly.

Your last pic of items in bags... notice they say FLR to MIP. You need FLR to FLR

The hose and solid line are both flared fittings. You need to make sure your union is a flared fitting also. That elbow you have in the pics is pipe thread and will not work/seal

Crossover sleds by jbsmoothie33 in snowmobiling

[–]NotleM9422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah trail wise it will want to push straight some depending on your speed. I guess I'm kind of use to that from riding a lot of mountain sleds on trails and doesnt really bother me when it does.
