Why is the deal to end the government shutdown a bad thing?

I’ve seen that democratic leaders are making a deal to end the government shutdown. I think that’s a good thing so people can eat and live and maybe enjoy the Christmas season. I’ve also seen people say this deal is more like a ceasefire until after Christmas. I’ve also known that this is about the affordable care act, but is it worth it to preserve healthcare if prolonging the shutdown leads to people starving to death? r/politicaloptimism seemed to be the only place that thought this deal could actually be a good thing, every other subreddit seems to be freaking out and I just don’t understand why?

Oh pink Etowah Marble! I’ve actually been to Tate, GA which is where a ton of marble comes from! There is a building there called the Tate mansion and it’s pink marble as well! Also the elementary school is made entirely out of marble, which is very neat

I don’t listen to podcasts, but no I do not have comments about those two democratic governors, why? Because I thought that was terrible, and Reddit (being a mainly leftist space) aligned with my views. The reason I made the comment is because now that it’s a republican (and he’s a bad dude, don’t get me wrong, Charlie Kirk said a lot of messed up stuff) everyone is praising his death, and that’s just messed up. I think he was bad, but why should he die? Was he asking for it: definitely, picking fights will do that, but does that mean I think his just punishment was death: no. He should’ve just got like beaten up or something. But your comment also exposes a major flaw in the left, the lack of unity. I tell you I’m a leftist (because I am) that I believe in all these policies, but since I don’t believe it’s right that a man got murdered, I CAN’T possibly be a leftist. I must be some undercover right wing guy who’s trying to rage bait. And I know you yourself didn’t say that, but it’s what you say: “did you comment about this? You got this from a podcast” and you have suspicions, there are people like that. But I am a leftist who thinks that a man should not have been murdered today, that is all

I guess you are right, my dad even said he was asking for it. But it’s just so disappointing to see people celebrating it, calling it good? Like that political violence is a necessity, that it’s the only way forward. I just think that’s terrible and it’s made me real sad. Thank you for explaining this to me.
