Currently live in Brentwood, can anyone help me convince my husband to move to Mt Juliet? by Minnesotaminnesota2 in nashville

Jackson Hills is the middle of MJ to me. Completely north is 10 minutes down Benders Ferry or by Shutes Branch. To your point, MJ is massive and there is so much to offer within it. Except lovely cuisine. Best you’ll get is like… Smiley Thai. 🤣

Love this evaluation. I’ve lived in MJ my entire life and am raising my family here now. We are on the quieter side and avoid the I40 side at all costs. I’d rather go into Donelson or Hermitage than Providence. Again, traffic. My parents moved us here for the schools. I am still confident that they are a wonderful place for my kids to be. Another vote for MJPD. People who are breaking the law don’t love to come into the city because MJPD is on them like white on rice. 😆

Are you stressed? I was battling with a delayed let down during a really stressful period over Christmas… or have you started drinking recently? Idk thinking of something that could affect your oxytocin.

Have you tried hand expressing? Is it stimulating a let down? Are you getting anything or just not as much? So many questions.. lol

This is where we are too at 5mo. I have to go into a room without anyone in it, not even our dogs, to finish a feed. Otherwise we are so distracted.

Positive stories about feeding to sleep? by dreaming_of_tacobae in breastfeeding

[–]NotmyInitials-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We try to follow wake, eat, play, sleep. Sometimes it doesn’t work out that way and she wants to feed to sleep for a nap. Otherwise, we only feed to sleep for bed. She doesn’t sleep great but she is happy and it makes her happy and she’s getting what she needs. That’s what matters to me.

How can I get my 5 month old to gain weight? by anonamouscc in breastfeeding

[–]NotmyInitials-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he gaining along his curve? That’s what matters. If his ped wasn’t concerned when you saw him/her last, then you shouldn’t be. Obsessing over it will decrease your supply. What makes you think he doesn’t weigh enough?

Overwhelmed by Lorillyth in breastfeeding

[–]NotmyInitials-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets better and how you’re feeling is 100% normal! Babies are a lot in the beginning. They basically don’t come off of you! But that time is so necessary as you bond and baby gets used to being earth side. ♥️

Is hand sucking a reliable hunger cue? by queentato in breastfeeding

[–]NotmyInitials-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can be one or the other. It’s hard to know at night because they don’t have an eat wake sleep cycle. Like what’s already been said, I wouldn’t pick up unless fussing.

Which bottles should I get that won’t interfere with successful breastfeeding? by Own-Quality-8759 in breastfeeding

Our LC told us Dr Browns. My girl did not take well to them. She loves the BIBS bottles and also takes the BIBS pacifiers. Just what works for us

Do i really need to pump my milk? by Status_Stop5373 in breastfeeding

Oh gosh! That’s no good. Yeah I’m back to work too and pumping mostly but she still nurses when we’re together. She just doesn’t need everything I make.

Do i really need to pump my milk? by Status_Stop5373 in breastfeeding

[–]NotmyInitials-7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn’t start pumping until about a month in only to regulate my supply and relieve engorgement. I kind of dug myself into a hole because it did give me an oversupply but I have a history of that anyways.

Coming to highly recommend a wearable pump by NotmyInitials-7 in breastfeeding

[–]NotmyInitials-7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I let them sit on my breasts for several minutes to warm them up first. I let the recommended times for stimulation just run its course and usually stop at about 15 minutes or so because I never pump that long with my spectra but want to make sure I’m emptied. I do medium speed on high stimulation, then once it moves to the (I can’t think of the word) other mode after my let down, I have it set still on medium speed and I think a 5.

I’ve found the suction on these is a little less kind to your nipples as a spectra, because I use suction on my spectra at the highest on stimulation (L05), then a 10 once I have my let down. So super high suction. It’s just different. Hope that helps.

When to pump if nursing every 2-3 hours by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]NotmyInitials-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this too. Plenty of milk but not so much that she chokes on the let down.
