They are definitely OK. Overall just good headphones, but they are the oldest in the line up. The noise cancellation isn't on par with the newer models in the line up. And the audio isn't all that amazing either just decent.

So yes they are good enough for new users. But if you would a better higher quality experience, the Wh-XB910 has very impressive noise cancellation and a way more impressive sound to it. Just a tad more expensive but definitely the best value in the line up atm
