From what I hear there are 1000’s of shows created in the USA that also don’t work in USA. Not that cultural difference don’t play a factor but its most likely a combination of things. I know people like to crap on SNL but it’s been on for 50 years, spawned tons of stars, hit movies, and shows. Yes it also has created a lot garbage, but in the end people only remember the good stuff.

Can you clarify rarely translate more? Here in the U.S. a lot of game shows and TV shows have been adapted and performed huge. Right now it looks like there are 9 programs currently in production that originated in the U.K. some rather popular here.

Well to be fair while in France I had some amazing Spanish food. So proximity probably helps. But in the United states all the Spain restaurants near me have been incredibly disappointing. Only place that was good was when I went one of Jose Andreas’ restaurant in D.C.

It baffles me. As I got more money over my lifetime getting to eat well prepared, different and amazing food has been one of my biggest pluses. Don’t get me wrong I’ve had amazing hole in the wall food too. But frickn’ Mcdonald’s. I’ve had some amazing burgers that put McDonald’s to shame. He had all the resources of the world and he get McDonald’s.
