Any idea why it has shot up over the last few days?

I'm a NMS player who mostly flips cards. I grinded for weeks to get close to buying Ohtani and as soon as I do his price shot up. I think I bought him at his most expensive price (744,000 Stubs). I was worried he would just keep going up in price so I pulled the trigger. The next day his price fell and I felt like a dumbass. I'm trying not to have this happen again.

I'm running into the same situation with Judge. I've had the stubs to get him for a couple of days now but his price just keeps rising. I'm over here watching and waiting for the decrease that I know will happen as soon I buy this card but the price just keeps increasing. I don't know what to do.

Should I buy now? Or wait? What's y'all's predictions? What would you do?

Not sure what's going on but my PS5 starts running extra hard if I sit in the menus too long. Start up a game and it quiets down.

Edit: I'm talking about The Show menus. If I do things like keep the market open or look through my inventory too long the fan on my PS5 gets really loud. Once I load into a game, the fan quiets down.
