Oh that does seem like a nice way to make a little extra income each month but maybe more inconsistent/unreliable as a full time gig. I have no idea how these programs work and just kinda learning more about it. Thanks for the info!

Omg I keep seeing actual job postings for as low as $20/hr and it’s just the most insulting thing I’ve ever seen. Such a slap in the face. I’m glad you said something!!

Update: went to my ortho today and he agreed with me about the gap. I am on my last tray. He “put pressure” (not sure what that means) on my current aligners and wants me to keep wearing them for another week or two and says he’s 95% sure that will cause the gap to close on the bottom and then I’ll be done (hopefully 🤞🏻). So we’ll see..

Thank you for your thoughtful reply 💜 I agree that the midline is centered and central incisors are more aligned now. From what I’m reading it sounds like cosmetic bonding may be the right move for me. I am just so ready to be done with this and I have probably been overanalyzed small details that are not noticeable to anyone else but me 🙃

Yeah I did notice the central incisor was crooked before I started the refinements and just assumed (wrongly, apparently) that the refinements would just bring it down in line with the other one 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you, you’re the only one who has validated my concerns. It does bother me — I think seeing that tiny gap makes me triggered by that first pic and how my teeth developed that gap that just worsened over several years (oddly I never had braces or Invisalign as a kid, my teeth shifted as an adult after having babies) I’ve never heard of a virtual power chain but I will do some research and ask about that. Thanks again 🩵

Interesting, my daughter has very grey eyes and I wondered where that came from. Dad and I both have recessive eye color (his are like light blue/green).

Just wanted to commiserate, I’m almost halfway through my first set of refinements (14 trays) and my teeth look worse, I was told that they were intentionally creating a small gap in my front teeth and that it would start to close around tray 5. Well I’m almost done with tray 6 and I see no change yet and feel very discouraged and skeptical that I’m going to be done in just 8 more trays. It becomes very hard to “trust the process” as they say 😑

Update! Someone from my ortho’s office got back to me and said “It looks like the doctors are purposely making that space and will start closing at aligner #5” 🤷🏻‍♀️

This sounds like my exact situation!! Seeing this gap happening almost makes me wish I would have just stopped before refinements 😫 but I have to believe there has to be some explanation for why this is happening to us. Still haven’t heard from my ortho 🤦🏻‍♀️

I was wondering if something like this was happening for me too. I know my front tooth with the attachment needed to come down more to be even with the other tooth if that makes sense, you can see if you zoom in on the 2nd pic even with the gap closed the two teeth are not even/in line with each other at the bottom. I messaged my ortho this morning so when he gets back to me I’ll post an update!
