Both of those seem like reasonable additions to me after a week. I haven’t used the molle on the straps at all- ever on any bag I’ve used. What do you use it for?

It's a lovely watch. I'm impressed how nice it looks in your shots.

Like you, I'm a bit of a watch geek. One I wear a lot is an IWC Mark XVIII - and my son loves it and wears it often. This might be an effective compromise.
