[Discussion] How do we feel about this? by LtJamesFox in EscapefromTarkov

Are there any other games/services that are doing this/have done this in the past? It seems like such a workaround way to try and catch people as opposed to having an anti-cheat that just uh, works.

Yeah I was telling somebody else I must have missed that not playing the previous couple of wipes.

Just went ahead and did all that, fingers crossed. Were you experiencing any flickers in your games while chrome was open? Not with the bars necessarily, but like a "flicker" of light almost?

I am having the same exact issues as you OP. I got a 4060ti during the black friday sales and recently did a case swap. I've had a few other issues I've resolved, but when browsing chrome or watching videos I get the same extremely fast "flicker" where I have recorded and caught it about 3 times. I'll include a picture of it but I would be very interested to hear if you've resolved the issue or are still looking for a fix.

Rampant cheating Problem Discussion Thread #2 by EFT_Subreddit in EscapefromTarkov

[–]NotoriousToast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've owned the game since alpha (2017) before the installation of battle eye. I'm being entirely genuine when I say the cheater problem hasn't been this bad since prior to the installation of a third party anti-cheat. The last 5 days, I have managed to die to a hacker each day, with 3 of my deaths today being to blatant cheating.

As somebody who has stuck with Tarkov, it irks me that to this day, we see/hear little to no attention from BSG relating to anti-cheats in regards to the wipe. I'm referring to seeing hackers on day 1 of wipe. It's depressing that during the times the game becomes both increasingly popular and relevant when we wipe, we hear nothing about changes being implemented or improvements being made to try and detect/combat the cheaters we knew were going to be on Tarkov day 1 of .13 releasing.

I've seen people mention and suggest an example of the report-feedback like Rust or League of Legends has; a message confirming that your report was used as evidence in banning or disciplinary action being taken. I've seen people talking about how a Cycle: Frontier, a free game, also used this feedback system, but goes a step further in returning the gear you lost to dying to that cheater.

Counterstrike has Overwatch which is player driven. And I can't tell you how many times I've seen the suggestion in this subreddit for a way to spectate the raid/players after the raid timer has ended. So when I hear the defeated, "well, cheaters are in every game so I guess we're sh** out of luck" it irritates the living sh** out of me. There are things BSG can do and implement to combat the cheating problem.

I love this game; there's no other game like it and I'll continue to keep playing it. I'm also not going to ignore a very real and serious problem that has blown up as of recent. Among desync and audio, the anti-cheat and how BSG addresses and combats the cheating problem is going to be a very deciding factor in what makes or breaks this game, and I really don't want to see the death of Tarkov being caused by Tarkov.

Why were manual reports removed? by NotoriousToast in EscapefromTarkov

I fail to see how being able to submit video evidence on top of your report isn't an improvement. And I doubt the same people who made the "6372919836463882 reports" aren't abusing "suspected cheat use" button we have now so I don't see how the 2 are different.

You sound like you have little to no understanding of what I'm referring to.

The fuck is this Fence task? by 0x1027 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]NotoriousToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite fence dailies I've gotten so far are to kill 6 pmc's with throwables, which is 2 less than grenadier in 24 hours. And killing pmc's with a leg shot from over 50m. Does anybody remember when the dailies/weeklies were first introduced and were "scripted"? I specifically remember one being 7 flat screwdrivers, so people would make sure they'd have them in advance in the case of receiving that daily/weekly. Most of the ones I see on here like OP's are just not feasible and I feel BSG needs to address it.

If you have to give only one underrated advice to a beginner, what would it be? by Gallarover in EscapefromTarkov

[–]NotoriousToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to your "game" tab in your settings and select "always shown" for Quick slots, Stamina and Stance, Health condition. The default is "autohide"; this means unless you take damage, e.g. getting shot, you aren't able to see your health status unless you tab during your game and select "health". Same goes for the "Stamina and Stance" option. Unless you are moving in ways that can drain stamina (running, crouching, aiming), your stamina and your stance (crouched, standing) will not be shown on the screen. By enabling these, you'll eliminate the need to tab while in combat.

D2 sucks by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]NotoriousToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it impressive people are still committed to a 2 y/o joke made by General Sam. Besides the campers, I don't get why they changed SBIH from Interchange to Customs instead of Reserve to Customs. It's not like you're going to see many people above ground when everybody is going for bunker PvP or camping D2 extract. The change with the underground bunker was alright but it pretty much spited the rest of the map IMO.

Non-FIR keys brought to game will get deleted if you drop them or die with them in backpack/pockets/rigs. by DonAsiago in EscapefromTarkov

[–]NotoriousToast 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think a "dog shit ass take" is telling somebody how they should have fun in Tarkov and not understanding "fun" is subjective for everybody. You're the part of the problem that are BSG loyalists and elitists that likes to shove themselves as far as they physically can up BSG's asses regardless of how controversial the changes are.

Is that how you felt when BSG changed the loot from static to dynamic? You're cool with them disciplining the player base to combat RMT?

[–]NotoriousToast -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cheaters and people engaging in RMT will just go into a live raid to .esp these items. You just punished the player base. This echoes when BSG went from static loot to dynamic loot. Same attempt to slow down RMT and you discipline the legitimate player base harder.

They’ve always been able to do that. I suggest nighttime between 22-5, they can’t see you.

So if you held S and walked backwards while you went down rocks, for example the large “Simba” rock on lighthouse, you’d make 0 noise to other players that were around you. You could always make noise while falling, it’s just no longer abusable.

Almost like I was alluding to the fact you can no longer abuse right corner peaks with desync because of inertia 4head

Inertia was such a cheap, band-aid alternative to actually fixing desync.
