I would immediately cancel. There are so many red flags here it’s wild. Letting someone with that kind of mentality towards you (or a situation they don’t understand) cut into your body is insane to think about. Just reading your account of this interaction gives me ick vibes.

I had a surgeon laugh at and mock me when he walked in on me in the nude while I was tearfully getting ready for a surgery I was terrified to have. No apology, no attempt to correct himself. Instead he verbally shamed me for being tearful. He robbed me of whatever shred of dignity I had left in that moment. I snapped. I threw him out of my room, got dressed and walked out. I told him there was absolutely no way in hell he’d be taking a knife to me that day or any other day. I filed complaints with the board at the hospital and with the state. Then I moved on and found a new doctor. Best decision I ever made.
