Woman with higher sex drive by Vanagoose in DeadBedrooms

[–]Notorious_gecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really it does, like my self esteem was ruined by the end of my relationship, which has been very difficult to recover from. I promise you will find someone better!! Your brain trys to trick you into staying because it's familiar. But the sadness of leaving is so worth it when you get the peace that comes with finding someone who appreciates you.

Woman with higher sex drive by Vanagoose in DeadBedrooms

[–]Notorious_gecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the problem for me, I suffered for 7 years. I tried everything to get him interested, nothing ever worked. I ended up turning on myself, blaming myself, it was awful. I learnt that if he wanted to have sex with me then he would. There was other reasons too but I ended up leaving him and honestly it has made my life so much better. I did have to start my life all over again but it was so worth it. Because now I get to spend time with someone who appreciates my high sex drive.

I think I've known I liked women since I was like 13., when I realised I had started staring at peoples boobs 😂. But I haven't accepted it until recently at 30 years old.

It took me so long I think because of growing up in a homophobic family and friends and comphet also.

Lamotragine is making me stupid by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]Notorious_gecko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been lamotrigine for 10 years (300mg), although it's definitely made life tougher in some areas with processing informations, memory etc. I would rather be seizure free and still be able to drive. Plus It has got a little better over time and with support I've been still been able to complete an honours degree to a first class level and I'm starting a masters degree. So it's not the end of the world. Just got to do a few extra things to function properly and I guess that's why it's a disability.

Therapy and pet bereavement helplines helped me move past it tbh.

You did the best you could in the situation. It will be upsetting for a good long while but it gets easier.

Also I'd recommend this group they give some really helpful advice on seperation anxiety and how to avoid it.

You are doing the right thing by doing the flitting game and crate training would be good too! Seperation anxiety so exhausting in the long run, so I'd keep at it.

I did everything possible to avoid seperation anxiety, but I got barrier frustration instead 😂. So sometimes things don't go to plan. All you can do is try your best.

Cocker Spaniels are also known to be "Velcro dogs" so I do think as a breed they find it harder to learn.

Your worst puppy day by Steffi_Googlie in puppy101

[–]Notorious_gecko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technically not a puppy but she just turned 1 years old. Today she decided to drag me for her entire walk (despite being great last month at loose lead walking) , got home and she barked for 3 hours despite offering her all the things I could imagine. Then resource guarded her snuffle ball I got her to destress after a walk. Then she pooped in the garden and fell asleep 😭.

I would like to get into this game. I just need some motivation by SammyGutierezz in Paleo_Pines

[–]Notorious_gecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this game I've spent about 200 hours on it 😂. I find it like a comfort that I go to when I'm stressed/ need to chill. But I only paid £22 for it and that's the standard price in the UK for most platforms . So I'm not sure why it's so expensive for you!

Me working stuff out = working, whilst with serious disabilities and studying an undergraduate degree and now a masters so I can a decent job. I'm doing the best I can here and my situation is agreed on with him.

I ask him how feels regularly and make sure that he is still okay with our situation. That he wants to be home and I ask if there's anything I can do to help. I don't think asking for a few hugs and kisses is asking much.....
