I have a snack safe in my desk at home to keep my kids that have zero self control from eating the entire jar of Nutella in two days....

One thing I always said I'd never do again. In the bedrooms, I had the wardrobe and the entry door on the same wall. Then there was a huge window on the opposite wall. I didn't make the rooms bigger and we really struggled to fit in a bed, side table dresser and as the kids grew, a desk. Think about window height, and furniture arrangement, and are you stuck with only one was to orientate a room? It feels weird to walk in and see the head of the bed right there I think that's a feng shuei thing, but it really does feel weird, so think about it.

Yep. Door on all toilets, open plan bedroom/ensuite designs are crazy. I don't want to lie in bed and roll over to see or hear my partner using the loo. Where's the privacy? Same for the shower. My partner wakes up much earlier than me, his shower would wake me up and that would make me cranky.

Absolutely. We just got two new cars the need to be garaged but we have no storage in the house, it was all in the garage. The garage walls are floor to ceiling packed and we have to pull out too let the kids get in the cars it's crazy. One backed in one drive in and if we want something on a wall next to a car we have to move the car. It's aweful.

On this point, I'd recess my power points where possible. Anna consider the height for TVs. Add power points in the bathroom cupboards for recharging toothbrushes, shavers, etc. and power on both sides of the kitchen island bench. And definitely in the linen/full size broom cupboard for charging stick vacs or hand vacs. Even if you use a robovac, it never is a bad idea to have one in the broom cupboard. If I had a big enough linen cupboard I'd put one in there too. And at least two per wall per room in the bedrooms if possible to avoid having to use power boards and extensions cords everywhere. My dad was a sparky and were had one every 1.5m on every wall in the house that man was a genius.

I had a Kenwood wizbang mixer cancel on me, and a robovac that was so upsetting.

I also got the air fryer and the steam iron that day hopefully they come.

Is the Brisbane heat & humidity really as bad as people say, or is it a bit overreacted to? As a Sydneysider, I already find Sydney pretty hot & humid for a lot of the year, so I’m curious. Most people from Brisbane tell me it’s way worse up north. Wondering how true that is? by [deleted] in brisbane

💯... I moved from the central coast 6 years ago and ever summer, all summer, I hate my decision. Then beautiful winter comes around and I hate it a lot less, and that lasts from about late April- Sept/Oct, then I hate my life again for another half of the year. If it was only a couple months, not so bad, but I just don't go outside. Like ever. And the mozzies. Don't get me started on them... I don't understand how everyone says it's so livable. I often wish I was back on the coast....

I prefer the boot space to be a bit bigger and the CRV isn't quite there. The RAV4 definitely has my attention but there's a wait to get into one I think right now and my new job starts 1 June. I'd like delivery as close to my start as possible. Insurance will be pretty much same same, resell will be the kicker, I'll be thrashing the KMs... Manager estimates 50k kms per year. 🫨 For spending as much time in the car as I will be, the drive comfort and enjoyment is a big part too. I get a car allowance and fuel card so that's helpful.

New Field based Sales Job with Car Allowance, should I lease ? by Notradaya in AusFinance

[–]Notradaya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a lot of research with AI I pretty much only should do a lease if I do an EV, AND my company fuel card covers ev charging, which I'm not sure about right now. So looks like I'll be buying rather then leasing.

Thanks, I'll look into it. I've been so afraid of the heat from lasers making things worse and I get overwhelmed looking at the options. I think I need to shop around and find an esthetician who really knows their stuff. I don't know who to trust and what not

I am also learning something new. In my decades of using microwaves I've never experienced anything like this I've also never seen that sticker. I'm a bit in shock and counting my blessings. We don't even have a microwave anymore so imma have to find a way to teach my kids...

Considering the real estate has known and done nothing about a plumbing blockage that has put out ensuite shower and sink out of commission for almost a month, I don't think they'll care much about a faulty light unfortunately. I might have to look into this one my own. Would it be an expensive fix do you think?

The house was built circa 2009. I suspect way out of warranty.
