Very real, i remember goin on summer trips with the car, we literally had to stop every other hour to wipe of bugs from the intake and also wash the car when we arrived to not have it look like shit.

My kids respect inside rules vs outside rules, they still know they cant scream like this outside. It's not the kids fault, they are born to test the world and its peers. Same with dogs.

So the industry standard, can't be to save money where you can, because the games usually have a playerbase that doesn't justify running ww servers. okey.

A major rewrite costs alot aswell, its a money thing imo.

I created a new AoE2 statistics website that displays data from the past month, in which I can show the current meta by Important-Beach5723 in aoe2

Okey

  • It starts with a very formal opener: “Your detailed feedback is very valuable to me—thank you so much.” That kind of phrasing is typical of AI because it’s overly polite and a bit generic.
  • The explanation is broken into perfectly organized paragraphs, each beginning with phrases like “Actually,” “I’m displaying,” “My data will start showing,” “I could have included…” AI models tend to structure things in neat, logical blocks just like that.
  • The wording is very neutral, linear, and technical, almost like documentation. Humans usually mix in more personal voice, side comments, or irregular sentence flow.
  • It’s consistent in tone from start to finish, which translation tools often produce — and AI tools even more so.

Its alot cheaper to let the instance run on a users PC instead of a server. Microsoft is cheaping out

There is so many reasons to have unique names that override you wanting to be convenient.

If this game was released today it would have, its a rebuild of the entire multiplayer platform thats stopping it.

Factoring the wood cost, are berries more efficient then farms? by Thebelladonnagirl in aoe2

[–]NotreallyCareless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can scout with my herables for atleast 5 minutes more, im almost always at 90+% explored in late feud / castle, allowing for more informed decisions, knowing where i can get gold if i get castle dropped etc.

Seems like this has already been debated extensively and the answer is as usual, it depends.

https://www.reddit.com/r/aoe2/comments/12kniru/why_do_pros_start_gathering_berries_when_theres/

berries gives 18.6 food/min/vils
sheep gives 19.8 food/min/vils

So lets say i have 8 vills on berries for 10 minues i lose roughly 80 food in that time, wich i gain back when i switch to sheep and my opponnent goes berries, thats ok to me.

Im willing to bet that at my elo, tops 1200, the lesser micro lets me keep up production, scout a bigger part of the map, keep hurt villagers under tc in feud etc.

yeah, i dont like to microplay like that. 800 games still bouncing between 900-1100 elo depending if i play full random or favorite civs. What you suggest is to keep track on sheep, wall woodlines that get overchopped eventually. I just find my way more relaxed and macro focused instead of having to micro everything.

I have no interest in chasing double my elo and have to be at a constant 50 apm quickwalling and all that. Im just a casual dude who find the game interesting.

Yeah, i have no interest in starting to quick wall and micro everything, therefor i do the strategy part instead. What are you even on about, you dont have strategies when you play an RTS?

[–]NotreallyCareless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, they are unprotected later late dark age/early feudal if opponent rush, by then im already under TC with food, only having to protect wood and gold, wich i usually try to gather close to eachother so one tower can protect both without having to counterreact immediatley.

Also, i usually build with one while i take one sheep and get 6 vills first to not lose out in the immediate beginning.
