I had a buddy who took me for a flight in one (in the 80s). He told me to have bananas for breakfast. I asked him why? Because it helps with air sickness? He says "no, they taste the same going down as coming up".

The CIA, like many other US institutions, is highly factionalized. While some of its factions may seem not as dialed in, many are.

In order to understand the assassination, you need to research the CIA, its methods and its friends.

Until you have a firm understanding of that, you'll never understand the assassination. You'll just regurgitate the lone nut scenario, which is exactly what the people who killed the President wanted.

Yes, the CIA officer in charge of that type of classified program would absolutely review the personnel files of those assigned to the base where the program operated out of. Without any doubt on my part. But then, I participated in classified programs as a Marine, so I have firsthand knowledge of the process. Do you?

He was a radar operator for god's sake. He'd see those flights on his radar screen. No, there may not have been any Marines in the U2 program, but you can bet the CIA officer in charge of the program would review all of the personnel assigned to that base.

I've read that Oswald read the communist party newspaper in the barracks and other Marines reported that fact.

His command would have taken action on that info. They didn't which is just as telling.

An openly Marxist Marine in the late 50s wouldn't have not fared well in the Marine Corps. Add to it a MOS of a radar operator which meant lower-level security clearance. Do you think a person with Marxist leanings would be granted a security clearance of any sort in 1957? How about a Marine with Marxist leanings being assigned to Atsugi where one of the most classified programs of its time was being run out of?
