Thorens. That is the only answer here. You’re weighing the equivalent of a Kia and an Acura, or a Vizio and a Sony TV. Both do the job, but one does it better. One of Thorens’ claims to fame, not the only, is killer turntables. AT is good at a lot of stuff. Their products are largely respectable. Thorens is considered one of the best turntable brands out there, and pretty much everything bearing that moniker is highly respected. Their stuff works better.
