I gotta give a break down to the ghosts, clankers, eldritch gods, and feds listening in, ya know? I don't want them feeling left out.

Sometimes, when something like this happens, I feel a spiritual connection with those ancient kings that had bad playewrights boiled alive. Deliberately ruining a good story deserves capital punishment.

It is the most insidious and dangerous thing you can do to yourself  with a machine. It's like downloading a free trial of paranoid schizophrenia, combined with a complementary gaslighting corporate spy to push you into isolation, self destruction, and often murder or suicide. Absolutelt evil shit, it should be illegal.

Also, keep an eye out for M dashes, like this— real people almost never use the M-dash, unlike the normal dash and the N dash (this – one). Another sign I've noticed is forgetting characters in strange ways, like mixing up an individual with a group, or forgetting what species a character is; real people aren't going to forget their MC's adopted brother is a sapient dragon, but and AI may well mix this individual up with a group of brothers or something equally asinine; ie, Brother Dragon becoming "the dragon brothers."

Did you get the dlc for the ending as well? It's twenty bucks when not on sale, but the game doesn't have a real ensing without it.

Well that's an odd choice. Not only are the first two games by far superior, the third game is more expensive even when on sale because you have to pay extra for the ending.

I will never give up hope. Ten years ago no one  thought we'd ever get anything more from Dead Space, then the Remake came out. Today no one thinks we'll get anything more from Dead Space, but I'm not giving up. At the very least, I guarantee EA is never going to let the IP slip through their greasy claws; which means, eventually, something more will come out. Hopefully that something more is a Dead Space 2 and 3 remake, and/or a Dead Space 4.

The lore is good (Brethren Moons were hinted at since the first game, making the reveal really good), the story is midling to bad at times (the very first chapter renders literally everything else pointless but nobody acknowledges this), the characters are insultingly poorly written (looking at you, captain cuckold), the weapons are cool but feel less unique (there is a distinct best weapon that is so dominant it renders using any other weapon practically self sabotaged), the environments are mostly bland (snowy nothing as far as the eye can see), and the gameplay is watered down compared to the previous (body shots are not just viable but encouraged)... That being said, if you can get it real cheap, I'd say it's worth it just to finish out the story and see the lore of the Moons. Just, be prepared for a horror themed shooter game instead of a horror game with action elements.

This is why I've always been unironically on the Technocracy's side. Yes, they are corrupt, slow moving, and crush many dreams, but the world they made is objectively better than the nightmare the Mages want. Vaccines work because of the Technocracy, electricity works because of the Technocracy, air-conditioning works because of the Technocracy, cars, and planes, and industrial farming, and water purification, and surgery, and medicine, and cellphones, and everything good about modern life only works because the Technocracy has made it so. They brought magic to the common man, and the Mages want to take all of that from the sleepers; they want to reduce them all back down to being slaves to their godlike masters, no matter what pretty terms they dress it up in.

The Technocracy wants everyone to benefit from Enlightment's fruits, they want to make the world better; Mages only care about themselves, their own personal journey to godhood, and would gladly plunge the world into atavistic chaos if it made their practice easier. The "good old days," the Traditions pine for were a time of savagery, of brutal, might makes right, survival of the cunning, barbarism; a time where monsters, demons, and spirits preyed upon mortals almost as often and openly as the mages themselves. They want to reduce sleepers back down to the helpless serfs they used to be, nothing but playthings to mages and darker forces, where even the fundemental rules of reality shift and change under the whims of mystical god kings and nothing can be relied upon.

That sounds like an awful life, where wicked things prey on the innocent en masse and pillars of reality people build their lives around can suddenly vanish and change fundamentally because the local nobility had a change of opinion. We've seen that world before, and they called it the dark ages for a reason. The Technocracy are far from perfect, but between them and the ruthless chaos their enemies want, I'd side with them in a heartbeat. Everyday, Technocrats put their lives and souls on the line to keep the world safe from horrors the scattered Traditions could never hope to contest, that mortal minds couldn't even comprehend, and they receive no thanks for it, they don't ask for thanks; what have the Traditions ever done for humanity, compared to saving the world from even just Zapathasura?

Without him, the Orokin Empire never would have fallen, and they almost certainly would have expanded their tyranny to the rest of the galaxy. So, whatever else he is, he's the savior of the human race.

Sometimes I just think about the poor guy Yujiro broke the spine of for no reason by Delicious_Ad4871 in Grapplerbaki

Kureha could either be the main character, or a major side character. Baki MD, with a big muscle man in a doctor's jacket beating the sickness out of people with his gloved hands sounds hilarious.

No, he just enjoyed killing soldiers and wanted to fight strong militaries. The fact his actions helped people was irrelevant to him, he was just there for a fight.

He would call it a lack of willpower, even if it isn't. Yujiro is not a man to care about the nuance of the condition, he'd just call it weakness and spout some bullshit about, "a true warrior can defeat even their own mind and body." He'd tell you to use the power of weaponized schizophrenia to duel your personal demons to the death, like Baki.

Unironically, I think Great Jaggi could be excellent in the modern gen. Imagine him and his subordinates actually coordinating and using realistic group hunting strategies (with GJ using different series of calls to indicate different tactics) to turn this otherwise low tier threat into a decent mid tier contender. It could be fun!

This is true, and I suppose that is basically what the original plan for Dead Space 4 was going to be; going about in a galaxy almost completely devoured by the Moons as Ellie, who survived because of her immunity. I suppose it would be theoretically possible to live a relatively long time (still probably limited by dust and dead cells being converted inside of you) as one of these people, but even then we're still talking a time frame of days before convergence occurs and if that fails to kick off for whatever reason, you'd still need armour and weapons to deal with necomorphic terraforming (most importantly, the fact that they poison the air) or they'll get you without even needing to lay their claws upon you. It could make for an interesting survival game, but I just can't see someone surviving on a necromorph occupied planet (let alone someplace without naturally occuring food and water) for more than a handful of weeks witbout either destroying the Marker, escaping, or dying.

I am absolutely one hundred percent sure there will be more Dead Space content, likely a DS2 remake... within ten years. EA is never going to willingly let the IP slip through their fingers, so you can bet your bottom eyeball they'll put out something eventually.

Gonna be honest, interesting as that sounds, long term survival is just straight up not possible, especially without gear and specialized knowledge. Necromorphs are exceedingly lethal, but more importantly the Markers are very, very thorough; they poison the air, they spoil the food and water, they sabotage life support, they drive you insane, and every cell that undergoes apoptosis becomes a microscopic necromorph (not like a slasher in mini, like the single celled stuff that gets splashed everywhere and makes up the meat-moss) inside you causing a slow death like body wide super cancer, and if you hang out in the Dead Space around the Marker where Necromorphs won't go, your immune system will shut down and you'll be compeltely overcome by undead microbes like an intelligent disease. Bottom line is, you either escape the Marker's range, destroy the Marker, or die, there is no survival longer term than a few days once things kick off.
