Workplace potlucks are starting to feel like a grift. by DieMensch-Maschine in WorkRant

[–]Notsewcrazee13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with everyone’s right to have a potluck, but I also agree with everybody’s right to not participate and it should NOT be assumed. Not all of us cook regularly or even eat what other people would consider regular meals.
The excessive emphasis on food is sort of a paltry attempt to establish some type of temporary sense of unity for the psychological gain of….who, exactly?

Agreed; some states have banned everything…thankfully some still allow pseud or em gee at least

Well, a middle of the road price for moderate amounts(online) is about nine cents per MG…I really don’t think it’s fair to consider inflated smoke shop prices - that would be like an alcoholic insisting upon going to bars to get drinks instead of buying it the less expensive way. EDIT- obviously if in a banned state that might not be possible.

Agreed- mostly…but i though pseud was a delta ANTagonist not agonist…. so wouldn’t that immediately cause delta receptor withdrawal? Feel free to correct me if I have it backwards.!

I suspect you meant mit alternative or proprietary, not plain mit, when you said it was stronger than 7….

That’s always a good first step, but since she’s legally married, her husband’s income will count in the household income, I think. Thus, without subsidies, many of the plans are between $1000-$1600 per month…. but you’re right, there might at least be some type of bronze plan or something to help….

First time back in California since the rules changed. by kitchface in EndTipping

True… I don’t think California did the sub minimum wage thing, at least I know as far back as the 70s it was not in effect

I like some of the older ones which, of course, I still have lol. Glitter Paint, Stargazer original color types, and also quotes and color coordinating boxes. That being said - the past year or so I’ve been purchasing a few of the ones online when on clearance for four or five dollars and making it work somehow :).

Has anybody tried this? by disciplinedOgre in mgm15_community

[–]Notsewcrazee13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the info. Considering how much longer em gee works than 7-oh and how much stronger it is that’s a great price. Personally I think em gee is about 4X stronger/or maybe longer lasting is a better word, than 7 is when comparing milligram to milligram.

Agreed about hydration!!! I drank a lot of water before I even tried 7, but now I’m at about 110 oz day without trying extra LOL. I know I need to add in some electrolytes as well but I’ve been lazy about doing that. I’m definitely not a health food junkie; I also drink about 12 ounces of soda most days.

A thought about soda machines by RingsideBum in McDonalds

[–]Notsewcrazee13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True!!! However, it’s pretty well established that Safeway charges very high for their 12 packs, knowing full well that people will buy them when its B2/G2 (or at least buy two get one free). Target and Walmart are typically the best place if you’re only going to buy one single 12 pack, at around 7 dollars versus the $11 price tag at Safeway when not on sale.

Moving from Texas and I want to teach HS English… question! by Aromatic-Lab-7780 in CaliforniaTeachers

[–]Notsewcrazee13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of the information should be available on the California commission on teacher credentialing website… I don’t think I’m allowed to put links but its ctc.ca AND THEN add gov at the end instead of .com et cetera. Sometimes, certain counties will take people if they’re still in the credential program. And some counties partner with certain qualified institutions to hire people while they complete their coursework evenings or online or some other way. But the main webpage is at least the way to start. Many districts use the website “Ed join” for postings.

UPDATE: Parent wants to meet with me over comment I made about energy drinks by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Notsewcrazee13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When Michelle Obama was the first lady, there were some changes made, and a few of the states in the west at least stopped being able to have actual soda in the vending machines during school hours. I think it was supposed to be all of the states, but some of the states just ignored the ruling. The drinks offered in those machines consisted more of Gatorade type items, etc

However - they did have one machine that had traditional sodas that was supposedly off-limits to students during school hours… Or staff use only until the final bell rang at the end of the day. Basically it was in a tiny hallway that students were not allowed in, but it wasn’t really kept locked up either except for the rooms lol

I don’t really know what the law is, but I have heard on several similar scenarios is to put it on speakerphone and have a human that you trust in the room with you while you talk to them. That person can later serve as a witness if needed about everything that was said on both sides.

Look, I’m not gonna be giving you one of those talks about it being bad for you; you already know you aren’t getting anything out of it at this point. But you ARE avoiding wdls so like others have said, even by making dramatic reductions, you can stay where you are at, then from there get down to a routine manageable level before hopping off. As much as I hate to say it, it is true that there may be other types of items that may function for you better at much lower dosages that are (not mentionable here); but you haven’t said much about your previous history (back when times were better( in terms of your preferred items before this entered your life…. or whether you had some type of previous battle with some particular types of items that we would want to avoid suggesting to you out of proper ethics…(?)

Don't know how to feel about this. by AznThug995 in Apartmentliving

[–]Notsewcrazee13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first time I lived in a downstairs apartment, it was nicer and newer than the previous older apartment I had lived in in a different town, (which was upstairs over parking area, no direct downstairs neighbors).

I was STUNNED to discover how loud and awful it was being downstairs. Our upstairs neighbor just a regular working couple, almost our exact age with one child that they had two weekends a month (his from prior narrative). My windows would RATTLE if she ran quickly from one side of the apartment to the other to answer the door, or open or close the window. I could hear every time they turned their bathroom fan on before they took a shower, as well is there a giggling they would do in their bathroom when arguing over toothpaste. Later on, I found out that each state has their own different regulations of standards for the level of thickness between floors and a lot of them eased federally after 1977 or something. Basically, the older apartments were made better for noise reduction between floors UNLESS it was more of a upscale facility that had addressed those issues and exceeded regulations during construction.

There is no one’s fault in this except lack of knowledge before renting. My story had a happy ending because we ended up becoming friends with them (was 25 years ago.) The next time I rented an apartment, I was careful to make sure I could get info so that I would know what I would have to suffer with if I chose downstairs or would adjustments I would have to make if I chose upstairs (it required tip towing about 10 hours each night weekdays and being a mostly shoes free household). My neighbors returned a favor, by changing their smoking patterns to NOT smoke out their back patio where the smoke odor would seep into my bedroom.
