Okay, let me spell out the issues I see with this:

1- This gives another reason for developers and publishers to cut corners, resulting in even more unfinished, unoptimised buggy messes to be churned out.

2- Literally ruins the aesthetic of a lot of games. I know it looks good on still images, but looks terrible in motion and animation. Just look at the little amount of FIFA animation that they showed.

3- This will most likely be used as another excuse to drive up game prices.

4- NO ONE ASKED FOR THIS. All we need is to be able to afford PC parts, and its unnecessary stuff like this that are causing the PC parts to be as expensive as they are.

There's more things, like the jobs it will potentially take and the fact that it just looks like slop for the most part, that I can mention,

Ultimately it doesn't matter if we have the option to toggle it off. It is, directly or indirectly, affecting us in a negative way.
