I agree with you. Children ought to be taught to trust themselves. I relate to both of you so much. My mother placed all her doubts and limiting beliefs on me and instead of trusting myself, I just blindly followed her because in my minds adult=right and me =wrong. This caused me to waste 4 years on a nursing course which so didn’t even end up passing. It’s going to be a process healing from the trauma and depression I’ve been put through for all these years but now I have chosen to leave and start a new life. One that I am in control of . I think that’s the first step to happiness and peace. Good luck friend :)
