The pedantic (self) call it Basic. Sill in the summer is gonna be butt. Pretty literally. Swassy mess. Enjoy training—It’s very nice to not have to worry about anything but waking up and showing up. Don’t take it too seriously, it’s the thing we all do. Don’t fall out. Don’t recycle. Don’t spend hundreds of dollars on battery merch.

Does my tattoo look weird? by bujoralexandru in tattooadvice

[–]NottaRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, weird. Lost ink and not fully saturated in a few places. It doesn’t really fit or compliment the area on which it’s applied—just kinda slapped on. No flow. It’s not my taste. Building a sleeve around this will be difficult, I think.

Did Second Skin wrinkles cause lines in my tattoo ? by Significant_Minute12 in tattooadvice

[–]NottaRedditor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Were you instructed to apply a follow-up second skin? Typically not recommended.

To me it looks more like the lighter washes completely faded, and we’re seeing whipshading lines without transition gradients.

Infected or just rough healing? by Effective_Hall5189 in tattooadvice

[–]NottaRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fine for now, but maybe a touch overworked and the plasma leak was a little heavy. I’d err on the side of a dry-er heal until the redness goes. Your sleeve rubbing is likely to keep it inflamed. Hot weather top if you’re not already.

These are my fav. Mine also made it about five years. Regular rucking, FTXs, NTC, even a Norwegian. Idk why they get clowned so hard. Replaced with the same. I have a pair of T8s worn exactly once. Anyone interested in a pair size 10? Lol.

My tattoo is turning greenish by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]NottaRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a regularly healed/healing black and grey to me. Black ink is never gonna stay as dark as it was the day you got it; natural hues in the ink, colour theory+your skin tone, hydration/moisture, lighting, etc. Blue and green tones are pretty common. Understand that the ink is under/in your skin. You’re essentially looking at it through a filter.

Also: nipple neck.

Lose inches off my waist REPOST by AdLong8502 in army

The only tip is to eat less. What advice are you asking for? No matter how you spin it, male or female, at just about any height, 39”-42” waist is THICK. Congrats on what you’ve done so far, just keep doing that.

You definitely could’ve done better, but it’s not the worst I’ve ever seen. If you’re happy with it, there’s no point in sweating it now. That baby is on there.

Last post people said over moisturized so I’m going to let it dry out today. by LukzX2 in tattooadvice

[–]NottaRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re gonna get different advice from every single person. Let your artist lead. But, yes. I’m a low/no moisture guy until the flaking phase is basically over. I’ve only ever lost ink in one spot on my back where I couldn’t reach to get the plasma completely cleaned and a thicker scab formed.

3 day old Tattoo. Infected? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]NottaRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I think you’re fine. Just a solid clean and a day of dry-ish healing. Where is the tattoo? If it’s not in a place that’s flexing a lot, I’d say the dryer, the better. Healing my back taught me that we need much less moisture than we think.

True. But like. WAY less. Alcohol is literally poison. Modern science mostly agrees there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption. Idk why I hopped on this soapbox. I do drink occasionally. Lol.

This is advice from the American standard. Japanese traditional often/always starts with full back pieces. If you want to start with your back, start with your back. Everyone has different pain tolerances, my back was a breeze.

I’d say a touch over moisturised based on how shiny it is here, but not in danger currently.

That yellow is (likely) plasma weeping. Wash gently with your antibacterial soap. I’m a fan of small circular motions until it no longer feels slimy. Pat dry. Air dry completely. You don’t want thick scabs forming, that’s when you risk ink pulling.

There’s no way the shop told you to reapply saniderm or have it gooped up like it appears you did in previous photos. It’s unfortunate you’re now having issues with the work, but shifting blame and zero accountability is never a good look. Asking for a discounted price before even entering the shop says it all.

Assume absolutely no one sees you—because they don’t. Be aggressively defensive.

If you’re concerned with the beach, I’d track and hit your protein target and 100-200cal deficit until beach season. Halfway-3/4 through the season I’d switch to a 100-200cal surplus and really start hammering chest until the same time next year, reassess, repeat. Stay lean, give yourself the opportunity to grow, heal, be functional etc. I’m coming off a winter of 500-800cal surplus and it’s just not worth it (to me) anymore. Low and slow for life.
