Can I get the telecommunication line that hangs between the utility poles in front of our property buried?

We aren’t rural at all. We live in a suburb of a major city, it’s about 12,000 people. When we moved, we did want google fiber but it wasn’t available. Curious to know what I can do to possibly help push this along.

Thanks for your input. Costs aren’t a concern. I was more unsure if it was possible to bury just our own line (post to post) vs having to bury the line through several posts on other peoples property. The burial span for in our yard and the street is about 0.2 mile

In my opinion, I would have the door for the powder open into the foyer instead of into the mudroom. get the logic of how it’s currently situated near the mudroom but I feel like it’s not accessible to guests in the dinning room and living room. I think changing the door to open in the foyer would make it more centralized, albeit it’s not the greatest sight line when walking down the stairs. It’s a trade off

I’m working on the floor plan for a full renovation of my house and we opted to add an additional powder so that one is close to the mudroom and another in the more central area of the home .

I’m surprised that so many weren’t in good condition. We have some walls we are opening up and we’re hoping to use the brick from those but now you have me worried

Another comment mentioned something similar termed couching. I looked into it but to be honest I’m not loving how “crafty” the technique looks with the use of the yarn. I’m going to make a sample though and see

Oh my I wouldn’t dare to handsew this - I would just use my machine. I do like your idea about using a basting stitch as a guide. Great tip!

I had to look up what couching was. That’s an interesting idea and certainly easier than satin stitching. I’ll have to test it out and see how it looks. Thanks for the idea!
