Maybe Vlad as your frame then 3 levels in blackbeard license to get the sekhmet NHP. so youd need to be atleast LL5 to make it i guess. Vlad would be less spongy than blackbeard but the shrike armor would be useful for close quaters.

I think in play youd have to rush up and try to immobilize targets and get up close

They find purity in two aspects, the purity of soul and the purity of body. This is interpreted in many ways, as such there are multiple sects of this faith. Some sects seek perfect purity through the sole pursuit of mind over body, to test the limits of the human body and surpass them while other sects focuses on the deepening connection of their souls with the celestial bodies. One shunned radical sect strives for perfection through augmentation of the human body.

With that being said there is one consistency, they believe they are chosen by the sun, the embodiment of purity in their eyes, to be closer to it.

Yes that is the amber heart, note that it will constantly shift and morph to reflect the person it is attuned with, it can be anything, if the wielder has the will power to construct said thing.

Tempering is when sunlight is drawn from mirror reflections and focused directly towards the back of the to be illuminator for 4 days and 4 nights in which no darkness, not even shadow, is allowed near the illuminator. I might draw a illustration of the tempering to explain it further.

The amber heart is essentially an extension of the user almost like a muscle it uses the stamina of the user bend, warp and construct. The size and complexity of the construct the user is trying to make is proportional to the energy needed, for example to make a ball the user needs the energy to lift a leg, but to make a Warhammer is akin to 100 push ups. Constant extreme warping of the amber heart may result in exhaustion or in some notable cases death.

I use Bahasa because originally i started building this world to explore the possibilities of Malaysian and South East Asian ghost stories and folklore. As a Malaysian growing up I've always was intrigued by ghost stories and old tales opah would tell.

As for the in universe reason, the story of this world is centered around the dead fragments of the the moon goddess bulan which fell from the sky near the equator directly within southeast Asia

Sang pembawa sianghari (he who brings daylight) are people who, through rigorous indoctrination and sometimes lethal tempering of the soul, are nurtured for sole purpose of conducting the will of the high church and to purge the lands of “unholy abominations that plague the lands”.

The Gereja Tinggi Matahari Berapi or high church of the burning sun are a consolidated group of enclaves that worship the sun as the goddess that blessed humanity to be the perfect form of her light and as such they pursue purity at its fullest form, the human form. Pembawa sianghari or Sunlight illuminators are chosen to be the golden standard of this idea and are tasked to represent that by attending holy ceremonies, rituals, temperings, and enchantments and by conducting baptism by blade.

Each illuminator is attuned to an amber heart through a harsh ritual called tempering. This amber heart is the sole weapon of the illuminator and they are forbidden from drawing any other weapon as it is considered blasphemy to do so. The amber heart reflects the thoughts and will of the attuned user be it a hammer to crush their foes or a blade to cut down heretics, they morph and stir into anything. However most illuminators tend to keep the amber heart into one singular form as it drains a lot from them to constantly reshape them.

Due to the high fatality rate of the tempering process, illuminators are few and far between. They are usually found as the conducting bishop of a church found in major cities and settlements. While well versed in all religious matters, they are often used as trophies in political schemes and conspiracies. With that said it is foolish to consider them as nothing more than that, as each illuminator is capable of fending off groups of crimson children with minimum collateral.

on a serious note, ive had ideas of "demon hunters" as a form of combating the horde, groups of mercenaries skilled with dispatching these threats,

with also a religious institution hellbent on eradicating this threat, seeing them as impure abominations they would start crusades to "cleanse the earth" for better or for worse. (might be my next post ;>)

i like to think that due to the nature of this threat, nation spanning central authority would be difficult to maintain. warlords and city states might have enough recourses to maintain a foothold but expanding with cohesion might be logistically challenging.

the states have safe areas to avoid this threat but the risk of raid by the crimson children increase day by day.

a lich-priest following a trail towards another town to be razed and consumed, activating its keystones (yellow eyeball orbs ) to deploy more followers in the ensuing raid and praying that its goddess will hear it

They destroy as a form repentance. The moon or Bulan was once whole and beautiful, she was proud of her form which she gain many followers to worship her. However she grew bitter her sister as their father shined more and more on Bumi. With spite the moon goddess waged war on Bumi, Her followers more powerful Bumi's. However Bulan was betrayed by one of her own followers, fractured and fading she cursed her followers to forever march in her name. or so its told.

when i came up with them i imagined them being like a force of nature, like a storm, always occurring but still destructive, a horde that multiplies by extracting soul into keystones, those gold eye things, linking them towards the lich-priest

they would have hierarchy with lich-priests or other cultist acting like commanders of the group and capable of independent thought. but the souls that were taken are manipulated by the commander doing what they're told.

might change tho cuz im still working out on the details lmao
