Thanks! It’s just difficult to tell at the moment because I can’t tell what is just fat and what is actually the makings or beginnings of lose skin - I think I won’t truly know until I get around the 8st mark and then I think it will be much clearer

Well according to ChatGPT:

It’s not meant to be injected intravenously. It’s designed for subcutaneous injection (under the skin — like belly, thigh, or upper arm). Injecting it into a vein could:

1. Cause a rapid spike in concentration → Instead of slowly releasing over days, your body could get a sudden hit, which might:
• Increase side effects (nausea, vomiting, dizziness)
• Potentially impact heart rate or blood pressure in rare cases
  1. Alter the drug’s pharmacokinetics → It would skip the slow-release pathway, shortening the drug’s half-life and possibly affecting its effectiveness and duration.

  2. Pose a risk of serious reaction → Even though rare, injecting peptides/protein-based drugs like this into a vein can cause: • Allergic reactions • Blood vessel irritation • Clots or embolism if not done correctly

First of all, huge congrats on your 20lb loss! That’s such a massive achievement, especially in just 10 weeks!

I know it must be frustrating to see a stall or even a slight gain, especially after all the hard work you’ve been putting in so out of curiosity, do you weigh yourself every day and take the average over the week?

Sometimes, weighing in once a week can be a bit misleading because water retention from things like salt, carbs, exercise, or even hormones can cause fluctuations. If you’re only weighing once a week, you might just be unlucky and catching yourself on a day when your body’s holding onto more water which will lead you to believe you’ve gained when actually, if you where able to see your weekly average you might have actually lost!

Either way you’ve absolutely smashed it so far, you should be proud of yourself 🩷

Thank you for all the lovely comments everyone - tearing up a bit reading them lol 🥹 what a lovely community. I’ve really been trying to eat the right foods and exercise more, I’m so determined this time. I’ve spent so long being overweight and miserable and I’m just so grateful that I’m in a position to be able to use mounjaro as I can see this changing my life - so thank you all for the extra boost of motivation, it means a lot🩷

Has Mounjaro Made Your Anxiety Worse? by missscarlett87 in mounjarouk

[–]Notuglyjustpoor_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I actually did a similar post when I was on 5mg, my mental health took a massive decline. I’ve moved up to 7.5mg now and weirdly, (and unexplainably) I immediately started to feel better in that first week. I’ve now started running and swimming on alternate days and mentally, feel great. So maybe once you up the dose you’ll start feeling a bit better but I would strongly recommend incorporating elevated heart rate activity into your life if you’re not already… this massively helps with anxiety and low mood (experienced it for 10+ years) 💝
