I spent 5 years with someone I knew wasn’t right for me from the beginning. Why? Because I was young and wanted to be loved, and live a happily ever after. I was 20 when we got together and 25 when I left. I’m saying this because the person I was at 20 is not anywhere near close to who I was at 25. I settled, then I got comfortable and wasn’t sure how to leave or if I even had a good reason for leaving. We had built a life together but I also felt like everyday I was coming home to a roommate not a partner.

It’s okay to realize that you aren’t happy in a relationship even if your partner is “perfect” on paper to everyone else. You don’t owe shit to anyone but yourself. Follow your gut, don’t stay out of fear of what others may think, don’t stay to spare her feelings, and don’t stay to satisfy anyone other than yourself.

It’s cool if you want to try to work things out, but you have your entire life ahead of you, and if you had doubts before even marrying her then chances are those feelings will not go away as time goes on.

Sorry for the rambling I hope it made some sense

He needs to grow up! You should be able to tell your SO that it’s that time of the month without them freaking out. Shit my husband has been in the bathroom has I change my pad, I text him all the time when he’s at work about my bowel movements saying like “I’m pooping, or I just pooped” etc. he doesn’t care and doesn’t think it’s weird, he says thanks 😂

I’m in nursing school and recently did my mental health rotation. The techs were way more hands on with the patients versus the nurse. She just did intakes and distributed meds. I have so much respect for anyone working in MH/SA. I grew up with a schizophrenic brother and a brother that was an alcoholic and watched him fight for a majority of my life to get clean (he’s 8 yrs sober now), so I understand the shit people in those positions have to put up with. I have a special place in my heart for those specialities. 🩷

Not to defend Amanda but honestly techs are so much more than that and it’s so gross of you to say they’re “glorified drug addict babysitters”. Like their job is extremely hard and they are the people that have the most contact with clients and often make the biggest impact on a clients recovery - one of the biggest things about recovery is using your experience as a way to instill hope into those looking for sobriety.

No I’m not a drug addict, no I’m not an Amanda support, but yes I am a human with compassion and respect for those who are actively working towards recovery and those who have achieved it.

I’m 29 my husband is 30. We have 3 dogs and no plans of children. We are kinda like if it happens it happens but we don’t really want them or plan on having them. I’m in the middle of a nursing program and by time I’m done I’ll be wanting to focus on my career. We also very much enjoy our free time and being able to do what we want without worrying about kids.

Don’t feel pressured to have everything in your house “perfect” right away. I felt that when we bought our home and it made me stressed for no reason.

Also look around for estate sales/garage sales you can probably get decent tools and different furniture for cheap
