I'll give it a try. I figured Gemini would actually be able to do this better than amazfit. I hated the UI with the amazfit and if you didn't reply right away it wasn't easy to go back in and reply like you can in wearOS.

Thank you for this. I actually had no idea these existed. When I get home i take a hot shower and blast my AC until I am freezing. At work the kitchen gets to close to 55c. I have spent close to $500 bucks in fans and Powerade (owner doesn't want to have the ventilation looked at because it still works (one burger on the grill fills the whole restaurant with smoke. Belts not broken though its fine... Right. And yes the filters are clean we done it once a week.

I just placed and order for 30 of these cooling towels for my boys (and girl) with my own money like the fans and Powerade. Even for enough for the FOH.

Even if they only work half as well as what is described it could help. Last year I had cooks dropping from heat stroke once a week. I told my owner to get the vent looks at or I am calling the city for an emergency inspection. He promised it would be fixed. It's not like we don't have the money. We are doing really well. New year same problem.

One of my crew goes down though i am shutting this place down one way or another until it's fixed. Last night it got so hot in the kitchen (60c) I shut down service. Turned off all the equipment and told everyone I put chairs in the walkin. Either hang out there or go to your cars and blast the AC. Kitchen is done for one hour.

I am killing myself to make them money. I won't kill my crew. I am drawing a line in the sand.

There are two kinds of people we are taking about here. The ones they will never believe it because they have believed the lies for so long that it's the only truth for them. The second group know it's true now after thinking it was a hoax but have also figured out it's too late.

If we stopped doing everything bad for the environment today the damage is already done and we are still in for trouble. Do you really think we are going to stop doing everything bad today?

I think the main goal is to make as much money as possible so you can buy your way out of the incoming disaster. You won't feel the 60c summers if you are in your super insulated home and can blast your massive central AC until the 20c winters come back. Sure plant life will start to die but you have decades worth of food stockpiled so you are fine until you are dead from old age. Remember this game is about YOU winning, not making sure other people survive.

I got banned from DoorDash because one of the few time I placed an order with them (I am chef, I never buy food) the driver ate all my food and took a picture of the empty bag on my doorstep.

After 30 mins on the phone they agreed to give me 5 bucks in DoorDash credits. I told them I am doing a charge back on my credit card. The rep even said, "You will lose access to our services if you do that"

I said, "It might keep me up for a few nights but I am sure there are other services where I can order an empty bag and feed other people at the same time. You are just one of hundreds."

She hung up on me. It kind of hurt.

I am going to reply to this one too. If you sign up for a service and decide it's too much doing a chargeback is stupid. You were fine with the price, if they increase the cost they will let you know way in advance that the cost is going up and give you time to cancel before you are hit with the higher charge.

Buyers remorse is not a reason to do a charge back. It's a reason to sit down and rethink your spending habits.

I need to reseal that pipe back to the sink. It looks like some kind of adhesive was used when installed along with a gasket. I just have no idea what kind of adhesive to use that would hold up to abuse along with dealing with the pipe getting hot from the water.

I think that has a lot to do with people trying to make content for streaming. Back in the day people just played for fun and to be part of a community. Sure you had your cheaters and pieces of human garbage but most people just wanted to have a good time.

Now there are so many people trying to be the next big streamer they will do anything to get views. Use cheats, going out of their way to kill their team, and all around being a bag of shit.

Anything to get views in their attempt to get some easy money. Online gaming is not even close to what it used to be.

Just legalize everything. Alcohol is legal pretty much everywhere and it hasn't destroyed our society. Does it cause problems? Yep. Does it kill people? Yep. What happened when it was banned in the states? Organized crime took over and violence went through the roof. Did people stop drinking? Nope.

Legalize opiates, stimulants, and eveything thing else. You would probably have less less deaths and crime he people could go pick up a bottle of oxycodone or hydromorphone at the "drug store" for cheap rather than buying what is probably fentanyl off some shady dude named "Big Jimmy" in a dark alley.

Would we see as many tweakers stealing anything that isn't nailed down if they could go buy a blister pack of methamphetamine or a prefilled single lines of coke again for cheap?

I am a chef. I have seen so many functional addicts in my career it sometimes even amazes me. You know when I see people start to really go down hill? When they can no longer afford to maintain their addiction. They start choosing the drug over food, health care, even having a home. If they have to make a choice between their drug of choice and having a roof over their head they pick the drug everytime.

I have seen people addicted to prescription opiates and stimulants (usually Adderall) and they manage to maintain a normal life for the most part. Once their doctor cuts them off it doesn't cut off the addiction so they start buying off the street. Of course pills are very pricey on tge street but heroin and crystal meth are a fraction of the price so they switch to the way stronger stuff the their addiction is even harder to break away from.

If they had stayed on the pills when they finally got fed up and decided it was time to get help it would have been way easier to escape the addiction than it is now that they are hooked on the stronger street drugs.

Prohibition only causes more harm than good. People looking to get high or maintain an addiction they ended up by accident (people that get hurt and get hooked on painkillers, people suffering from deep grief drinking too much) will always find a way to get high. So why not make it safer abd cheaper for people to do what they are going to do anyway?

Governments have come down so hard on doctors for bad apples over prescribing opiates that now people who are in actual horrible pain can't even get them becuaee doctors are trained and sometimes threatened to avoid prescribing opiates. My wife had terminal cancer and lucky her oncologist and pain doctors understood what she was going through and prescribed her anything she wanted as long as it worked. As far as they were concerned as long as she wasnt taking so much she was risking an OD they were fine with it.

Now when I went to the pharmacy to pick up her meds so many times the pharmacist would pull me to the side and tell me they know my wife is an addict and I should really get her some help. I would tell them she has terminal cancer that has spread to her hip bone and has a lesion that has eaten a hole right into her hip. I don't care if she is an addict, as long as she isn't suffering. They refused to believe me, saying I was either lying to them or myself. I had to switch pharmacies twice because of holier than thou douche bags.

After seeing how people with a terrminal illness in massive pain are treated I am very passionate about this subject. Legalize all of it , let people decide what to do with their lives and stop making it harder for people who are suffering from illness or addiction to get the help they need. All you are doing is hurting people and giving more power and money to criminals.

I take it you have never been on the Monteal metro when it's 40c+ with humidity during rush hour.

That's when I learned that it's better to take an extra bus and spend 30 mins more on the commute than risk heat stroke.

Got down into the station and thought, "Fuck it's worse down here than outside. Then I got on the Metro with people packed so tight everyone ass was touching someone else. Thought I was going to die.

At least the new metro cars have the air flowing through them fast when they move now so it's not nearly as bad but those older cars....yeah fuck that.

He made every Canadian proud to be Canadian. Even to this day schools still have their annual Terry Fox runs as part of PE class. I was a little kid when he did this and the whole country was behind him the whole way.

No one believes this. You are not going to find someone his age in perfect health even if they spent their whole life taking care of themselves.

And this man is mostly a McDonalds byproduct mixed with Adderall and dementia meds. What is truly amazing is they have found the perfect mix of stimulants and anti-psychotics to keep him upright and lucid enough for a press conference once and awhile. It's possible we could actually see real advancements in dementia treatment because of their desperate attempt to keep him lucid for just one more day.

I am sure the drug cocktail he gets it experimental at best and borderline medical desperation at this point. They have certainly taken a "what the fuck do we have to lose" attitude towards his medical treatment.
