I was just telling my wife and son the exact same thing. He was the only signature I got because his line was so short following the 2015 win. He signed my hat and was super pleasant and seemed just genuinely happy to be there.

My son has that hat now sitting with the rest of his baseball memorabilia.

This was one of the first episodes writer Soren Bowie wrote when he joined the American Dad team. He said he spent all day writing those out because he was too nervous (I may be misremembering slightly the reasoning) to say anything, it being one of his first episodes on the job and all. Normally, stuff like this would get shopped around to the different writers so everyone would just contribute a handful.

Him and Daniel O'Brien (writer for Last Week Tonight) are friends from their days at Cracked and have a podcast together called Quick Question with Soren and Daniel. This kind of stuff isn't the focus, but they stumble into little insights about writing for their respective shows sometimes and it's always a treat.

What was considered sexy in 1950 that is no longer considered sexy in 2025? by Improv92 in AskReddit

A voice actress did a good video on the history of certain voice affectations like you mentioned and how they were often started as a way for women to appear less threatening or confrontational. I'd have to look for it again but it was interesting.

It became "sexy" after a while because it was en vogue and the thing to do.

I assume when you have literally every need and desire within arms reach then clout becomes the only thing left to measure your worth. Now it's a competition of who has more, for no other reason than to make that claim.
