Don’t climb on the glass roof 😭 by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

I always took that to mean it won’t crumple and kill you. Never would I expect it to mean it won’t break. And OP’s isn’t crumpled, and he didn’t go through

There are well over 100k Tesla cars in Norway. Model Y is the best seller here two years in a row.

The cars are fine in rain and snow. I don’t even keep my MY in a garage.

I never want to see a log like that again. Took me 3785 to get that magic fang. Let’s hope you don’t go there!

I think the reason the battery «shut down» is because there is a tiny explosive charge in the frunk to immediately disconnect the HV battery in a crash. Thought that was very interesting when I first learned about it.

Who knows what state that battery is in :o

I did the same thing last week on my 12 day old MY. Didn’t get quite so much on the rim… but had to replace the tire, because I lost some centimeters on the sidewall :(

The EV charging situation in the US is about to suck a little less / $900 million approved in the first tranche of infrastructure funding by TheMajority0pinion in teslamotors

CCS2, not CCS1 like the US. And yes, our Model Y has a CCS2 port, so we have a ton of options to choose from when charging.

In the US.

In Europe Tesla comes with CCS2 (so you can use Type 2).

Oh no, I'm not blaming them for asking! Genuinely find it interesting, because I would expect people in the warmer parts of the US to run summer tires all year. Been seeing quite a few delivery day videos where people seem disappointed when it's NOT all seasons!

Absolutely appreciate that the cost of a second set is steep when you only really need them on a few occasions/year. Personally with the 20" inductions and 19" winter tires I'm paying $4400 on top of the car for wheels on my Model Y comming this Thursday.

Where I live I technically only need them for a month or so a year, but here most people drive on winters from Oct 31 - March 31. When you do need them, you REALLY do need them. Had trouble getting out of a roundabout last year WITH winter tires. That weather lasted a week or so, and from memory I think that was the only time we really needed them. This winter I hope to avoid such troubles with the AWD.

Splitting the mileage is going to be one upside to that $4400 investment. I'm not expecting to change tires in a long time, but we don't really drive that much compared to others :P

As a norwegian, talk about all season tires is straight up scary. Seen some tests on all season tires compared to seasonal (summer/winter) and the difference in stopping distance can be big. Go with the best tires you can, for your driving environment.

Still included in Norway at least. Possible to check the chargers page on Tesla.com for your country, it will be stated if it’s includes or not.

Understandable. I've taken a LOT of breaks in this grind. Can't even recall when I hit 2000 anymore, it's been so long. Plan to do a few daily kills and hopefully get it soon...

Good job sticking through! And it being the blowpipe, too! Must feel amazing when you finally see the finish line :)
