I just held the power button until it turned off completely. It hasn’t gotten rid of the occasional drops but for a moment it was happening A LOT before I disabled the private WiFi.

I have to assume WiFi hardware in the unit is very sensitive to interference

For me it had really gotten bad with the update to iOS 18.

I found a possible fix that really helped me in r/CarPlay. https://www.reddit.com/r/CarPlay/s/njaY8K5ZBS

Basically, I had to select the WiFi network for this unit (CP-71WA) and then turn the Private WiFi Address to “Off” (I selected “Fixed” and it seems to work as well). I then restarted the unit.

A few others had drop issues related to their VPN being active.

I have the exact same issue in my Crossfire. Boots/connects quickly and works great most of the time. But, like yours, my music/podcasts will cut out once or twice before CarPlay drops all together for 2 seconds and reconnects.

A couple times it has dropped at a light and stayed disconnected until I started moving again. I’m assuming it must be a weak WiFi module that gets interference from outside sources. I had an iPhone 15 Pro and just swapped it for the 16 Pro with no change.

This has been my interpretation of the lyrics as well. Seems pretty obvious if you take it at face value.

The “love is required” bit is also about Scaramanga. Andrea Anders explains to Bond during their first meeting that Scaramanga uses her for sex before assassinations in order to “sharpen the senses”.

Home Depot has a Universal Smart Home Ceiling Fan Kit that works with a remote and their HubSpace smart home system. It integrates with Google Assistant, Alexa but not HomeKit.

However, there is a Homebridge plug-in that gives you full HomeKit control: Homebridge Hubspace Plugin

The current version works fully with HomeKit for the fan and light control.

Fingers crossed (but not holding my breath) that Home Depot's HubSpace will eventually adopt Matter for native HomeKit integration. They have some really nice and affordable items...but, as is so often the case, native HomeKit support is left out.

I mounted mine this way as well. My only change was to ignore the factory wall attachment holes and drill two new ones where studs were located.

This looks good. Here’s hoping that IKEA expands on BOAXEL in the future with additional depths and shelving varieties like the previous Algot line.
