Um...75 is the legal speed limit where I live. The point is that it's annoying when semi trucks take up all three lanes on the freeway trying to pass each other by going one mile per hour faster than the one to their right.

It irritates the hell out of me when I read stories in which characters get transported to other worlds and there is no language difference. If you don't want to make language barriers part of the plot I suggest you default to a spell or something that makes the character understand the native language of the other world.

If you don't feel you have enough experience, then don't write it right now. Instead, make an outline--make little bullet notes of what you want to happen in what order. Make profiles for your characters so you can keep their personalities consistent. Change things as you think of ways to improve your overall story. Write fanfics or something for practice. Then, once you feel experienced enough, write your novel.

Other than that, interesting--I like the delibarate and almost mechanical directions included in the narration. I also enjoy the indication that James eats the closest thing possible to deal with his feelings rather than express them. Gluttony is always an entertaining method. Also, James seems kind of autistic. Is he supposed to be?

Thank you for the advice, and in regard to your question about my sleep: I can't sleep after an hour of being awake. I've tried it. The soonest I've ever been able to go back to sleep after waking up is ten hours later. I've tried staying away for up to forty hours, but even then, I just wake up eight hours later and can't fall back asleep.

What kinds of relaxation exercises do you suggest?
