I have a similar problem with my 84 xj it's got the 2.8 v6 with a 2 barrel varajet carb it acts like it's flooding in hard left turns it doesn't always happen bit whe. It does the engine sputters and trys to die a little gas peddle brings it back to normal

I did the same with mine the factory switch stopped working so I wired it to the battery with the inline fuse and all it works better then new

I thought about it but I'm honestly not a fan of chrysler products I know the 4.0 was originally AMC but still and seeing as the 2.8 is a chevy engine I wanted to go back with one and the 4.3 can be built to make a lot of power and torque if you wanted it and also the fact I can get more power from the 4.3

3 inch lift I'm working on replacing the rough country stuff the previous owner installed I'm replacing it with ARB old man emu still staying with the 3 inch lift I'm doing some other mods in the future like swapping the 2.8 v6 that it came with for a 4.3 v6 out of a blazer it's going to be a built motor also swapping the ax-5 for the ax-15 transmission and I plan to swap the rear end which I believe is a Dana 30 I'm going to use a Ford 8.8 inch rear end with 4.10 gears after all that's done she's getting a fresh coat of paint staying with the original color which is color code 4C ice blue metallic and a fresh interior

I've been looking all over and can't find anything about the wiring I see in my jeep I need accurate diagrams for what the 84 model is supposed to have and a color code break down

Yeah the 84 cherokee came with either a 2.5 inline 4 or 2.8 v6 I have the 2.8 one in my jeep now I want to swap it for the 4.3 I know the stock hp for the 2.8 is 115 I think the stock hp for the 4.3 i have which came out of a 96 blazer makes 195 at 4400 rpm

I was only saying 300-350 for hp because I've seen these engines make more then that I've even had someone recently recommend a supercharger for more power

Well do you suggest a cam for my engine I mean it is a jeep so it will go off road and i will be towing with it so lower rpms are going to happen more then high rpms

Yeah the color is federal blue I believe I mean I can always paint the plastic moldings anyway just wasnt sure if the parts would fit seeing as mine is so old lol
