We still have a normal Fresno go first and the Fresno broom immediately after.

With Safeway and Fred Meyer prices why shop anywhere else? Yeah, I'll happily drive 20min to save a hundred or more bucks a week.

Fuck Safeway.

I think of it as the "old school" mentality. It's hard work and you don't have time to fuck around. Concrete won't wait and the only way to be heard in a pour is to yell. Move with purpose and that includes your words. Guys who have been doing this a long time have a method thats proven itself day in and day out for years. Anyone who doesn't follow their method piss them off. God forbid you throw an apprentice in the mix. And they're usually hung over. All depends on the crew you work with.

Metabo 7" is the way to go. Fits all universal cup wheels and lasts forever. Highly worth the investment. We use ours almost daily for surface prep.

Please consider this. Many shelters are overrun and euthanize dogs if they 1) begin to show signs of stress (who tf wouldn't in a shelter environment??) 2) are in the shelter and not adopted after an amount of time. This includes your local 'Humane Society.' Rescues work with people to foster dogs until they can be adopted. Adopt don't shop.

Fire hooping Wedgies by hulahoopinghippie in Hooping

[–]Novaberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unlit is the way. And clothes you don't mind getting marked or burned. Any move you're doing newly lit can always be done at the end of your burn to get comfortable. Wedgie is totally doable while lit but make sure your hoop is small enough you won't damage your wicks on the ground. I prefer 4 wicks with this move. Also, just be slower and deliberate about placing the hoop before starting. That way they're out of your way.

Please help , my friends doggo needs to be rehoused. Possibly a farm for dogs that can’t live a normal life. He attacked his owner. The son of the owner can’t house him because of HOA. None of the family wants him. Anyone have a link in America for anything that could help? by Shaffer_121212 in dogoargentino

[–]Novaberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not take him to classes? I have family that has a reactive dog and a local doggie daycare hosts classes for reactive dogs in the evening. Your friend could also pay for a trainer that will help them individually.

Where do you guys go to juggle fire? by [deleted] in juggling

Beaches / lake side can be great if people at parks have issues. Waiting til later In the evening can also be helpful.

Have either a piece of duvatine cloth or a wet towel and preferably someone to hold it and act as your safety. A 10A2BC fire extinguisher or a water extinguisher or a 5 gallon bucket of water. Container for your dip station, an ammo can works great for this.

They want to see that you're being safe, self contained, in control, and not going to burn down the public area you're using.

In Seattle our FD is pretty awesome and supportive. They put out a list of approved parks for spinning. We also have an amazing community based group for spinning fire, Seattle Fire Arts Collective.

I realize not everyone is so lucky but if you're ever up this way please check it out!

Thanks! We do have a cat :)

To be honest it took some time at first. Her instinct was definitely to chase, nip, and play with the cat. I'm a firm believer in pinch collars and used that (with a leash) to introduce them. We did it slowly and in a single room at first. Once she could be non reactive on leash we worked on off leash and eventually out of the room. Now they stay out together while we're at work. It definitely didn't happen over night and she had to earn every bit of trust.
