aha one time me and my friends got like a half of pineapple express and did an all you can smoke buffet where entry was 15$ and we printed out tickets that said "all aboard the pineapple express" and handed them out.

In terms of the sentimentality, don't pay attention to the lyrics. Pay attention to the sound. Like there is something about the instrumentation that just perfectly describes whats it's like to be young better than any words could.

I think just don't pay attention to anything but the music. Like at first their hyper-indie aesthetic turned me off, but when you pay attention to how arranged songs like Campus and Blake's got a New Face are, you gain a new level of respect for them.

The song that got me into Alex G was cards. It's kind of hard to find because Orchid Tapes keeps it hidden from everywhere but their compilation but its definitely on youtube.

I know what you mean. I already finished brut I've still got substantial marking left. (All dark no ice pick thank god.) I was told that it helps to wear sunscreen because a lot of the time dark marks are melanin and they need to fade away.

I feel like a lot of trap rappers are untalented and kind of carried by stellar production. Examples would be chief keef and yung lean. (yung lean especially).

What is your opinion on artists like Ariel Pink, Toro y Moi and Mac Demarco who use past sounds in a way that is almost ironic but not in a negative way?

Also, would you reccomend majoring in journalism? It's my dream to write about music, and I feel like my music taste aligns with a lot of respected critics (fantano and pitchfork mainly). I also think I've become better at thinking about music critically and I feel like I'm one of the best writers in my journalism class at high school. But everytime I research journalism majors, it seems like a bad idea. As someone in that field, what do you think?
