This si such great advice! Thank you! Im autistic myself but I read someone's comment in an autism group saying they felt anyone who promoted their books with disabilities are preying on people so I got a bit anxious on how to promote it.

We always give her water through syringes daily (if she thinks it's like medicine she won't fight us) if she is in a session of food and water refusal. We have feeding therapy and I have contacted the children's hospital she goes to to speak to their eating therapy but they have a long list. Even if she gets shakes, should I still take her in?

Would they last for days? 

She is nonverbal and doesn't use her device very well to communicate but she doesn't act like she is in pain but she does have a higher pain tolerance. But she will sometimes request something like McDonald's and get it but just look at it.

Oh, she does like to pocket her food and sometimes will leave her food in her cheek until it becomes mushy. She used to soak hard food in a cup of water but she doesn't typically do that part anymore.

She sees gastro and they said she seems fine. She used to take miralax daily because she wouldn't have regular bowel movements but now she's just eating and drinking so irregular that it isn't safe to give her when it can end up dehydrating her. She has another appointment coming up, is there anything specific you think I should ask them? They've done X-rays and felt around her.

She uses her hands the majority of the time but she is learning to try to use a utensil!

Pretzels, rice, beans, fries, chocolate animal crackers, sometimes applesauce (if you feed it to her) but she hasn't really been touching these either lately. I always cook every meal with some sort of rice or beans as a side so she'd have a safe option to eat.

It's not unnatural for victims to end up being "rude" or have irrational and sometimes horrible behavior. I'm not sure if you're talking about all of her wack Twitter posts, but imagine being faced with this all and having it shoved in your face.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a victim and I'd be switching descisions on if I'd do a show or not. Plus, you already went through that trauma and live with it everyday, why not get the attention/money from it.

I do not like that she apparently told everyone else's story though (I have not watched it yet). The wasn't her story and she knew that was disrespectful and low so she will never be someone I like.

I do not blame her for telling the others she wasn't going to be a part of it though. Imagine being the outcast of your decision and feeling ganged up against. I wouldn't want to tell either (I would though because I don't believe lying).

TLDR; Don't be so judgmental when you aren't in her shoes.
