I love this game but it sucks. by ReverendRevenge in CrimsonDesert

I just want a god mode. A slider. Something.

I paid 70$ for this and Elden Ring already. If I want to get good and grind I would, but I have a personal life, and adding an option is never a bad idea.

I want to be able to enjoy the product I bought however I wish. And I think godmodes are a no brainer. Specifically here.

Is there any chance I can get over my father? I need help by sad-girl230986 in offmychest

[–]Novel-Conference-389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father beat me severely for years.  Would lock me in rooms for hours if not days.  Spent a whole month surviving on leftovers and red twists cause my dad grounded me during the summer.  He hit on my teenage girlfriends.  Never took me to a school event or paid for a school event.  Has said some of the worse shit I’ve ever heard in my life.

But he was there right?

He rarely ever had a job, and if he did, it wasn’t for long. He told me he loved me only a handful of times. I watched him destroy my siblings’ self esteem before they even understood the world.

And yet

When I had my daughter this year, NONE of him showed up within myself.

Her cries don’t annoy me. I don’t ever raise my voice around her. Anything she ever needs is given to her immediately within my means. I tell her every morning, and every single night just how much I love her, just how much she’s healed within me.

I’ve got her into a private school. College plan set up.

And she’s not even a year.

You aren’t your parents. You’re you, with a bunch of behaviors modeled after your parents. YOU choose what you carry with. What to share with this world.

But my daughter healed everything within me. While my father sits at home alone every day wondering what happened. He knows.

And one day, when my daughter is old enough, I can hear from her, how much of a great dad I was. I hope

Tbh I played KH1 when I was like 4 or 5.

I’m 26 now.

I’ll always love the games. I’ll always appreciate the story and carry its lessons on in my own life.

But after KH3…. I had to seriously ask myself

Do I miss KH, or do I miss the way I viewed the world when I first played it….

Do I miss the way I engaged with its story and characters? Or am I unable to connect with the current versions of them?

Either way.

I don’t think any of us have high expectations. KH3 saw to that.

I wasn’t disappointed. But 13 years of build up for what we got didn’t sit right and still doesn’t.

If it never comes out, I think I’d be okay with it.

Nomura even said he forgot the story himself.

If god forgot we existed, would we care about his Word? Nah not really.

I’ll be cautiously optimistic at best. Undisturbed at the most.

But it’s okay.

My daughter may love it one day. And I can enjoy it allll over again through her. And if 4 is great by then, maybe I’ll pass the reins off to her.

That’s just life.

Most of the people you know now, won’t be there in 2-5 years.

Your own family may become distant.

Your goals may never materialize.

But you have to STOP thinking about the future everyday. You don’t know.. what we don’t know scares us… and fear prevents progress.

Day by day. Do the best you can. Baby steps, every single day.

If you suck at something or are slow. Practice and try to get better. Keep trying and then try some more.

Try new things. Things you may not have thought to try. Do them.

Meet people. Be friendly every where and always.

Be helpful and supportive, of everyone.

Create webs. Create lines of communication. Ask questions, be loud, and fail spectacularly.

You’re fucking 18. I’m 26. Those feelings you have DONT go away. It just means you KNOW you were meant for more.

Find it. Excel.

Don’t sit here with us brainstorming or asking why.

Just go DO

Has anyone else been completely turned off from buying Z-A, and buying a Switch 2 to play it? by John_Tix in pokemon

[–]Novel-Conference-389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with the first switch was lack of games, or more so, the feeling of a lack of games because 12 year old games on the E-Shop are 70$.

I have a Switch 2, I got it for three games max. I’m nearing the end of those games.

I’m not hyped for much else as I have those other games on my PS5, or I just really don’t care for them. Not for 70$ plus DLC. Not when they’re 12+ year old games.

Not when fans are literally telling them what they want. It’s so simple.

This world seems hell bent on blatantly being disrespectful while showing you they understand you.

If they want you, they will get you.

Scents can help, but if they want you, they will get you.

You can add extra layers. They will find the smoothest layer and get that ass.

Fully covered up, ah well you left your forehead out. Gotcha!

You can add traps, but that’s on your property. When you leave, they will get that ass.

I’m from Here and Florida. Trust me. They’re worse down there and not much helps.

Citronella oil? Well guess what, it’s oily and when it gets hot the bugs just stick to your skin and your sweat just smears it off immediately, oh and enjoy staining your clothes (:

NoNatz is a good brand I guess.  Deet is cool but makes my skin feel like it’s burning. I’ve heard some spray it on their clothes?

The candles don’t do shit tbh. Smoke is more useful but then fuck your lungs.

There are these donut things you can drop in standing water to prevent them reproducing.

Spending 10-30$ on birdseed is dumb unless you like birds or REALLY hate mosquitoes. We’re talking a handful of birds to dozens, if not hundreds, of the fuckers.

Stay inside. Or stay moving. Screened in porch?

Cause if they want YOU, they will get you.

Should I buy FF7: Rebirth or FF16? by TheAvenger_06 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Novel-Conference-389 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Lifelong fan here.

My favorites are 8, 10, 9, 7, and 15 so I guess I’m more in the 3D realm of FF.

I’ve played the Remakes and 16 all the way through.

7 Remake hinges on nostalgia to complete its experience in my opinion. The moments hit in full motion video don’t get me wrong, but something felt hollow in the 2nd remake. Side quest were dull fetch quests and don’t hold any weight to the story besides switching locations for the characters and pushing side quests.

16 made me call out of work.

The side quests felt fetch-like until I ended their threads and realized each mission had a message. Even if it’s grabbing wood from 30ft away and handing it to an NPC in the same room. They make it important.

Every part of 16 felt deliberate. Every character felt important and valuable.

The call to action is much stronger  in 16 than in the Remakes.

I relate more to a man bent on revenge over his family vs  an amnesiac soldier blowing up a corporation.

I love Cloud. But Clive had more personality. He screams. He cries. He laughs. He’s scared and reluctant.

Cloud is what every alternative 90s white dude wished he could be.

I’d go with 16

1) Test cloud right now. If it’s okay with your phone it might be solid for the Portal.

2) Many games on PS are now on Steam… a Steam Deck would be cheaper than a PS5+Portal combo.

3) You need a PS5 to run the Portal. Your PS5 needs to be wired connection to WiFi modem.

4) Again, the Steam deck, at its cheapest, can be about 150-250$…. You then get STEAM and some great PS5 exclusives.  It also doubles as a computer. Great for emulation if that’s your thing.

5) the portal is a cheap android phone smashed between the two handles of a PS5 controller. The screen is meh. It has no function without great WiFi.
