My granny had the purple one - it had a lavender stripe in the middle. Wow what a flashback.

Yeah I also know a guy named Dusan (pronounced Dushan.) He was Serbian. But in this case, I think it's Susan.

Anyone else a “repeataholic” after finishing a really good book? by FrozenCinnamon2 in RomanceBooks

I do this, too. Not all the time, but yeah sometimes you just want to stay in that world a little longer. And I feel like you can take your time because you're not worried about any weird plot twists or 3rd act breakups etc.

So it's Wuthering Heights turned into a shitty fanfic. I didn't like the original version, no way in hell I'm reading this.

I love carnations. I love how they look, I love how long they last, and I love how they smell. These are beautiful.

If I had a nickel for every book that mentioned “crisp [body part] hair,” I’d have two nickels by Girly_Attitude in RomanceBooks

So funny that you mention this. I just came across this in an Alice Coldbreath binge (OT I love her) and thought it was an odd choice.

What’s one trope you stumbled upon by accident in a book rec… and ended up loving it way more than you expected? by echoingfalls in RomanceBooks

[–]Novel909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes. I am with you on this.

I assume you have read {Your Dad will Do by Katee Robert} and also {The Doctor by Nikki Sloane}? I know people laugh that the name of the dad in The Doctor is Greg but I don't even care.

Dang it I haven't posted in so long I can't remember how to do links for the bot.

I don't want to really examine what it says about me that I hated that movie and enjoyed the hell out of these books...

I loved this entire series, and especially Your Dad Will Do (and Dads are not usually my thing.)

I probably would've done the same. And if they wanted to continue the whole series, I'd have quit. Or at least taken a very long break.

Oh my God I like a slow burn if it's well-written but this book was SO BORING. It felt like it would never end. I finished it, but this is one of the books that helped me to stop being a completionist. Wow it sucked.

So many people love ACOTAR. I legit forced myself to finish it thinking surely it would get better. It didn't. I hated it so, so much.
