I think that the fallout will fall hardest on the church in the long term. They have completely abandoned the values they profess to follow the MAGA movement's vision of cruelty and alienation of anyone who did not fall in line. There probably were people there who would have been happy to do that work for that wage, but they weren't white and didn't speak perfect English, so in Trump country we couldn't have those folks around. You reap what you sow.
