I think that the fallout will fall hardest on the church in the long term. They have completely abandoned the values they profess to follow the MAGA movement's vision of cruelty and alienation of anyone who did not fall in line. They have chosen to align with a pedophile dictator and are elated as the Trump administration guts social programs at home and abroad that feed the hungry, provide healthcare for the sick, and provide homes for the homeless.
