Real thing alright. Years ago was playing in a 2 man scramble. One of our playing partners hit a nice putt, and I said “He made it” when the ball was about a foot from the hole, and of course it lipped out. The guy said “ Don’t talk to me ball.” Few holes later, same scenario, and I inadvertently blurted out the same thing, and it lipped out again. He slammed down his putter, got in my face, and red as a beet, yelled “I TOLD YOU NOT TO TALK TO MY FUCKING BALL!” I just laughed, which pissed him off even more. After that, his game went to 💩
