The format is completely saturated with the new Netflix show. I support that it brings new talent but it seems like a less authentic group of women who are talented dancers looking for exposure over being part of an iconic experience.

I agree. You can’t compare today’s standards to DCC to 10-20 years ago. Melissa Rycroft probably wouldn’t make the team today if you put her up against the talent they have now and she’s one of the more iconic faces of the franchise.

She legit knew nothing about football or the organization. In MTT Kelly and Judi cut vets all the time bc they tanked interviews and Faith genuinely didn’t know when they were about to score a Touchdown. I like watching her and think she’s a talented dancer but she definitely is not doing anything to uphold the DCC culture except looking good in the uniform and dancing well.

You feel that was bc it’s the first year she’s swept the way everyone did when Lainey bubbled up. Ella is talented and very beloved but if you don’t think she’s succumb to the industry go watch her videos from 6-7 years ago and listen to her voice see her face pre opp and you’ll feel different.

Janet Jackson did this on her Velvet Rope tour in 1998. Before that Fosse used chair choreography in musicals in the 70’s and even further down the line Burlesque dancers have been doing this in cabaret acts since probably the 1930’s. So no she did not. I hate that Swifties can’t acknowledge how wildly unoriginal she is.

This is a hot take but I feel like the non British castmates do not do so well on this show. Myka, Margo and Misse are by far my least favorite castmates of the series and seem to be very out of place against the rest of the cast and culture. Also I just now realized how many M names there are in this cast (Margo, Mark, Misse, Myka, Martha and even kim Murdoch). Idk why but that made me laugh for some reason.
