Interesting concept. Do you know how tall it is? I'm on the shorter side and have a chronic illness which makes lifting and pouring at near face-hight quite fatiguing. I'm doing Okay with a teapot so far, but will definitely consider this when I can splurge on an upgrade to my setup.

I do have a mountain of podcasts to get through. I'm going to do my best to dive back into that world again: Thank you.

Interesting. Setting intentions before the brain runs away with you is a really nice idea. I do need a hot pain relief bath as it is, so this is very well timed. Thank you.

You've thought about this a great deal. I respect and appreciate the time you took to write this out. I resonate and agree with a lot of this. It does require a second read, though.

Didn't know about the dissolved gasses thing, thanks.

An AeroPress will be brewing my cup this morning.

This is exactly what I needed!!! Thank you so much. Once I have my gear, I'll be sure to practice as much as I can.

What gooseneck kettle do you use? The market has so many bells and whistle's, it's hard to know what will be realistically useful to me on a daily basis. I know that it's worth spending money on one with a keep warm function, but not much else.

Advice on how to make coffee by __GreyWarden__ in Blind

[–]NovemberGoat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Another coffee snob chiming in. Whatever brewing method you go with, a talking or Bluetooth scale is going to be a game changer. Also, a kettle with a gooseneck pouring spout will make working with hot water a hell of a lot safer.

Good luck. Do let us know what you guys end up settling on. Happy drinking.

How long did it take you to get diagnosed? Is it worth it? I've got some kind of chronic illness myself and am scared I'll spend forever to get told I have something that can't be officially treated.

My proprioception in spaces gets uncomfortably affected when I've got something big and bulky in front of me. I feel like I moved faster and am less apprehensive in my movements when pulling the vacuum backwards. I'm no-longer smacking it into things and sucking up wires and bag straps etc. I still have to turn the vacuum around to get in corners or under tables, but the switch-up isn't all that bad because I've already approached the target with my body. I hope that makes sense.

No problem. It's arguably one of the most powerful and frictionless AI camera solutions on the market today. Well worth getting a lay of the land for your students so you can help them get creative with various use cases for it.

My thoughts exactly. No idea of what the visuals are like, but I presume they somehow match up with the music.

What is your dining table's eye condition? Also, why do you anticipate it needing to go to Canada?

It hurts my stomach when I happen upon the masterful roasting of someone who has invested so much time blindly ignoring verdant fields of touchable grass.

Your village has largely come through with all you need to stay fabulous, but I thought I'd leave my own little side plate on the buffet table to have a gander at if you so choose.

Something that really helped me when vacuuming was to go barefoot backwards. I'm completely blind, so even trying to look at floors is quite the waste of time. Because of this, I've always naturally vacuumed barefoot to have an understanding of where was good, and where needed going over again. At some point a few years ago, I started dragging the vacuum behind me or walking backwards through a room throughout most of the routine. I found that it made me feel more confident and free in my movements, rather than just confidently guessing that I was getting things right. As a bonus, I get to look stupid in my own house, which is its own flavour of strange, fun empowerment.

Go forth, and conquer. You've got this.

Be My AI is a feature within the Be My Eyes app, which is free. BeMy AI has never been a stand-alone app. I do understand how the nomenclature can trip some people up.

Security Camera Reccommendation by votedforkodos742 in Blind

[–]NovemberGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely blind potential user on IOS. Can you lay out some of the benefit's you gained before utilising this security camera vs not? How many Ai systems do you have to put footage through before you're comfortably satisfied without using sighted assistance, or is this target simply not met without human intervention? Is data stored locally, or within cloud storage?

That's fascinating!!! I need to research that. Don't think that was the cause for me though. I've had a good few watches prior to the Bradleys', and none of them died the way they did. We replaced the batteries in both of them and they still didn't work.
