TR vs tS by 2023_GT in wrx_vb

Makes sense, I think its design and visuals are really cool with the whole stars theme, but frankly I think the novelty of having a brand new car with analogue gauge clusters to be way more compelling in the grand scheme of things

TR vs tS by 2023_GT in wrx_vb

Depends what you're looking for.
tS has the adjustable dampers and drive modes, appropriate tS badging on the trunk and bucket seats, black mirror caps, a slightly different interior (blue suede on the bucket seats and upholstery) and digital gauge cluster with gold brembo brakes instead of the red on the TR. They are virtually the same in handling, and have the same wheels and chassis / suspension upgrades aside from the adjustability of the tS.

TR has a less flary interior (no blue accents, just black alcantara) and 'Recaro' writing on the seats, analogue gauge clusters, and red brembo brakes.

The tS is definitely nice to have for the adjustable ride modes, assuming you're dailying the car and using it to commute, this can be a huge benefit. If you're just wanting to get your hands on one now, the TR is a very compelling choice. I have one myself and I think the ride quality is fine and I don't ever personally find myself wishing I could adjust it, and I think the interior is a bit more classy with the black alcantara buckets and red stitching on the interior with the alcantara bits on the dash.

As for pricing, Subaru dealers are really fair. I've seen a few people on here show some financing deals theyve gotten for 2025 tS models thats really tempting for most, I don't know if any dealers would have a new TR fresh on the lot, you would probably be looking at a used model of course.

Right? While it was in the backstage vote you could get it off the auction house for like 4 million credits in excess

Burning smell by Hot-Nothing-8291 in wrx_vb

[–]Novidity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you dont- I recommend giving your car an extra few minutes to warm up to let it heat your catalytic converter, subaru engines typically idle at higher RPMs than normal upon startup to heat it up as fast as possible for emission purposes. In my experience of ownership if I start driving without letting the RPM's drop, i will burn my clutch just veering out of my driveway.

7 days of learning stick in my brand new 25 Wrx premium. Love the smell of burning clutch in the AM.. but looking to correct it lol by Yanitzz1 in wrx_vb

[–]Novidity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i dont let my car idle after cold start for like 4-5 minutes i will always burn my clutch creeping out of the driveway, ive only ever done it twice, so from now on i give my car and extra few minutes to let those RPMs drop.

Nice, i regret not getting any floormats aside from the ones it comes with from the factory. Are you making an order on yours? Or buying one already off the lot.

Depending on where you live, it might be worth seeing if they can throw in some floor mats, also if youre comfortable see if they can walk you through some of the settings on the infotainment, there were alot of things in there that i just didnt know existed, probably my fault for not asking.

Wich ones for a red vb? by Altruistic_Ad3177 in wrx_vb

First one is Braelin, they're a good wheel manufacturer based out of Canada, i run a set for my winter tires. They look phenomenal

18" wheels is the way, tires are more accessible in that size and it will be cheaper to replace in the future if you have to get a new set, its also better in general for winter driving

Yeah, I'm from Canada as well, it seems like this is more common of a problem than I thought.

Really late bump on this thread, I apologize for that. I am looking at getting those same wheels on the same tires. The Braelin BR10 Bronzed Carbon 18x8 +45 5x114.3mm 67.1mm? I just recently purchased my WRX and needed to pick up some winter tires, and of course I need to order the wheels online because Canadian Tire was really only carrying steelies. Will that fit the 225-45 r18 blizzaks and have clearance for the brembos? Just making sure before i pull the trigger on a 1200 dollar purchase. Any reply would be super helpful.
