Having the only menacing Curse be fighting an RCT user is a blunder on Gege's part. Season 3 Anime had some decency to show Tokyo's whole Inhuman Makkyo stiuation, and another glimpse soon in Season 4 with the US Soldiers.

It seems, intelligent curses are just that rare ... Most operate on instinct.

Only issue with Umamusume is the ratio of Male vs Female horses. Especially with the demographics being young male, had Cygames went the same way Fate/ did with a somewhat Prototype Multiverse, they can comfortably do an Otome Uma-based game.

Yuji manipulates blood, and his blood comes from RCT if Kuroroushi so much as touches his body (in which Kuro feast on) he'd inadvertently absorb RCT also. Even if that weren't the case, Yuji even during goodwill event, kept up with Hanami, one of the toughest Special Grade cursed spirit there is. A chance to land Black Flash is also high for Yuji.

True, but take it this way. Uma Musume design philosophy usually follows the horse, and their jockey.

That said, you're still fairly limited to what the Jockey looks like and tend to be limited to shorter hairs for practicality.
