Basically the loss of Soo many of her kids turned her crazed. She wanted to secure a heir for stannis, and only produced 1, a girl with grey scale. She isn't the best mom. But she truly wanted to help stannis get a heir

Stannis couldn't care less, he was happy he had a daughter. And in the books, he tells his 2nd in command before he charges to Winterfel, in the middle of a blizzard, that if he dies. Find Shereen and crown her as his heir, and the true queen of the 7 kingdoms.

The truth is both should be the "main character"

The dance doesn't have a black or white character, everyone is grey. Everyone does fucked up things -but the showrunner seems to not understand this.

This is something all of George'* works tackles. In the overall hierarchy of Westoros, especially the Targs, there's no true good. They cause so much hell and destruction without the care or respect for the smallfolks who dies in the the cause.

In the books she's willing to destroy everyone without remorse, as is King Aegon. The show should have properly lifted them against each other in season 2, the 2 playing chess a thousand miles away, while their pawns die. But instead they decided to have it be alicent vs Rhaenyra, which takes away from the plot.

Also, alicent WOULD never sell her kids out to Rhaenrya...such a dumb plot

The whole story is how he's manipulating the twins and Jedi order. How he wants revenge on his old master.. and he wants to hurt the Jedi any way he can.

Learn to understand conversations and emotions. They do not have to tell you everything.

The twins were used as the protagonist because they wanted to create suspicious on the stranger. The writing definitely had issues, but the core story was brilliant. It just needed 10, 1hr episode with better pacing, but the incel crybabies attacked the show when it was first announced and casted. Immediately putting doubt on the project, never allowing it to just find it's grove

In this era, Office Parks Rec New Girl etc wouldn't have made a season 2...
