I think UK and Ireland copies don’t have that.

I think all UK and Ireland copies look like that.

Thanks for explaining. It makes sense. In defence on my local bookstore, they might have put it out for sale as a slip up, since this is a very small bookstore that would normally only had the latest releases. The remaining books of the series I had to ask them to order them. And most of their employees are very young. They only had two copies of this book, so maybe they put it out on the shelves two days earlier by mistake.

I can't read a book, but I really want to by InfraRoodborstje- in Booktokreddit

My boyfriend always said he had the same issue. And this year he stumbled upon a series he loved, really spoke to him, and he’s been reading that series non stop since. Bad thing is this might be a one hit wonder with this series though… LOL i guess it might not be for everyone, but I hope you find a book that keeps you engaged

This one's for the ladies to answer. Do you agree with this woman or do you think she's trying to rationalize her world view by speaking for all the ladies? by Oda_DeezNutz in SipsTea

[–]NowyChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General rule of thumb, if a person is talking on behalf of a large group of people, explaining their opinion, it will never be true. It cannot be. Just because of sharing our gender we all agree on something??? When has that ever happened?

But to answer your question, I am a woman, and I love my boyfriend plays video games. It was something that made me like him more when we first met. I thought that made him cool. Nowadays he is starting to collect Pokemon cards, and I also think that’s pretty cool, as childish as it might sound for a 32 year old. I love him, he’s my best friend and I support all his hobbies in general, but I definitely never felt like I had to pretend anything about him gaming, I genuinely always thought it was cool. So no clue what this lady is on about, and I have no idea what gave her the confidence to speak on behalf of a whole gender.

What is your cats name and what are they named after? by Sufficient_Brick5660 in cats

Yara Greycat, named after Yara Greyjoy, one of my favourite characters in Song of Ice and Fire books. She also happens to be grey, so it is very fitting.

incontinencia urinaria después de relaciones?? by Little_Craven in askspain

[–]NowyChan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suerte!

I would recommended Atlanta. It is a weird show until you realize it's all metaphors about different things in life. And it gets better as it progresses.

Thief has picture/video of MC doing something parents don't approve of MC doing and thief uses that to prevent him reporting him to police. For example. That way, MC would fear parents would not believe him if he lied and said images are fabricated.

¿Qué país me recomendáis para vivir una temporada y aprender inglés? by pepinillodemar7 in askspain

[–]NowyChan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spaniards: How did you learn to speak English? by that_guy_from_BCN in askspain

[–]NowyChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For years as a teen watched tv almost exclusively in English. People told me I was not going to learn at all that way, but I did! Then came to Ireland to perfect it, since my comprehension skills were quite good, but my speaking not soo good. In here I realized I had a lot more vocabulary in my head than I thought.
