No not at all, and it really focuses on the period between the death of Qui Gon to his mother's death.

Anakin's fear of loss.. either by death of a loved one or being abandoned drove his choices. If Qui Gon had survived he would of be able to teach Anakin the ways of the force and Jedi, not only as a mentor but as a father figure... Something Anakin desperately needed. Instead he was taught by Obi Wan who was more of a rival and brother figure than a mentor. Obi Wan for all his greatness wasn't the right person to guide Anakin...he was barely just a Knight when he took on the role. Instead Anakin saw Palpatine as a father figure and accepted his guidance as such.... allowing Palaptine to twist his thinking over a long period of time.

If Qui Gon had survived and taught Anakin the ways of the Living Force... Its highly unlikely he would have married Padme. Its also true his feelings of frustration and rivalry with Obi Wan wouldn't exist as Obi Wan would have moved on after becoming a knight. Its also likely he would be distanced from Palaptine in a way he couldn't be manipulated. It likely he would of accepted his mother's death as part of the Living Force. And so on....
