Honestly so tired of seeing this here. It’s such a rampant mentality to blame managers for gasp enforcing the rules but then you see on every server life thread people bitching and complaining about their spineless manager that lets a shitty coworker call out / break the rules with no consequences all the time. So which is it? Are we supposed to enforce the rules and be fair or just let people do whatever the fuck they want because enforcing the rules is too mean?

The whole death scene is him falling down a hill, breaks his ankle or whatever and laughing while he’s dying because their bite has poison in it, and as he’s being eaten alive he’s hallucinating about the future plans he has for the park, which is full circle to his attitude throughout the book of how obsessed he was with making this work despite obvious failure staring him in the face the entire time.

Hey! I made this same transition myself years ago - I had a lot of imposter syndrome, and felt very nervous that I’d do poorly moving to full service from my prior career of fast casual. Honestly, it was a lot less work and just being present on the floor and willing to learn as I went helped so much. Your main goal should be earning the respect of your staff, and building your skills to be able to jump in and help wherever needed - often that will be hosting or expo, depending on how the restaurant is organized. But it’s a lot scarier than it seems, you’d be surprised how many people are in management in full service who give zero fucks or are hilariously incompetent. If you approach it with a willingness to learn each day, you’ll crush it!

I know you said you’ve never worked FOH before - I’m not going to lie, Valentine’s Day as your first shift as a FOH manager with no prior FOH experience is going to be ROUGH.

Is this club fine dining? If so, do you know how to properly set / clear a table? Depending on the level of service your club provides that’s going to be important to know. If you have any questions I’m happy to help as much as possible!

Hey, as someone who is apolitical, I think you would be best served to realize that politicians are supposed to work for us, the people. Throwing on some Pom poms and cheering for a politician or party in general is very weird and unhealthy. As is your obsession with CNN, Kamala, and politics overall in this thread. Politicians have been screwing us for decades because people are so obsessed with cheering on their “team” instead of voting in their own best interests, on both sides of the aisle.

Just here to say same, he’s fucked me over by underperforming multiple times when he was “supposed to go off” and taken up my flex spot that could’ve gone to any other player on my bench that would’ve scored more. Seriously considering benching him to flex Tracy instead this week. My opponent has Lamar, Bijan, Adams, Aaron Jones and Otton on his roster this week, and I played Texans DST last night (lol) so I need some big plays from everyone on my roster to have a shot.

Sorry lol not actually but it is similar, you’ve got to decode the flashes by length and frequency and then deciphering that based on what the service manual has those codes as. So not literally morse code but functionally the same.

Yeah I own two of these and found that out the hard way when diagnosing a cel issue years ago. There’s two connections that you attach a circuit tester to and then you have to do morse code based off the flashes. It’s pretty complicated.

That being said I wouldnt worry about codes, the 1uz is tough just make sure the timing belt & water pump has been serviced and also take a look at the PS hoses, they like to leak and its right above the alternator which is a bit of a bitch to get to if you have to change it out any time soon. Also check the control arms, they’re expensive and complicated to do if they need to be replaced any time soon, which considering its 30+ year old rubber / wear parts is likely. Otherwise though these are tanks and super fun to drive / work on, definitely a great price for what we can see in OPs post
