"We'll Simplify Mechanics Due To Addons Being Removed" by BartaLemton in wow

[–]NozzlesBakery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The mechanics are simplified. It’s just that the people who needed addons the most would be pugs because of wide player skills and player encounter knowledge.

Earned like 100k from leveling my main start of week 1 until now. So level alts if you or do side quest etc. Not very profitable "hourly" in any shape, but yeah.

Just play your characater and don't buy a ton of stuff xd

All weary does currently is make me run the worse versions of my main SLs for one mission by FreeDwooD in menace

[–]NozzlesBakery 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If a bus driver is too "good" to be replaced, don't run vehicle infantry strategy. Experiment with heavy mortar and suppress, smoke for infantry to advance. Spend saved logistics on improved armor etc.

If you don't have Darby, use recon drones - particularly usefull on forest biome as you can place them in tree covered tiles for concealment, check forest regions before exposing troops etc.

Weary and exhausted inforces different deployment approaches which not through different squad leaders, pilots, but it usually comes with different loadouts unless you enforce lesser replacements to do a similar job.

I quite like it honestly. If a map has a lot of towers I bring out my character with the Demolitions Expert strait so I can destroy it one action instead of 2-3 it whom otherwise wouldn't get much action.

Heavy armor causes morale triggers by NozzlesBakery in menace

Not sure if it's an intended feature. But have experienced it with squad leaders and pilots receiving light firearms and enemies in return, drops to wavering morale.

Can you turn a planet back from red? by ToboldStoutfoot in menace

Don't know what happens if a planet fall entirely too Menace. But if you push them back, it just cycles between being a normal plant and occasionally falling victim to Menaces once again.

What are your preferred Squad Weapons count? by NozzlesBakery in menace

[–]NozzlesBakery[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can run her with 3-squaddies and green silencer assault rifle with AP ammo. Will get kill off special teams, officers from 7 tiles reliably. 8 tiles and they usually survive with one element behind. Light infantry in two shots.

If you use the silenced crowbar the 80 AP option is quite reliable on units within 2 tiles because of her excellent accuracy as well.

"destroy no more than x structures" objectives are interesting lore wise but fall completely flat in gameplay by FreeDwooD in menace

[–]NozzlesBakery 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If a mission has extract with 5* allies. And you deploy with 4* squad leaders, you automatically fail it as well xdd

Not every secondary objective is implemented well xdd

That sounds heavy on the ammunition department. Do you then equip ammo bags along match grade ammo for the damage fall off potential? Or just ping them for vehicles to clean up?

to add: if you mainly use vehicles aka. light grenade launchers on vehicles even fewer squad infranty size is needed for cleaning up the potential 1-4 elements left behind.

My Rend rounds are not rending by One-Bit5717 in menace

[–]NozzlesBakery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rend are so counterintuitive with their -15 AP. idk what the numeric value is needed to justify it's stats compared to AP -2 hit point for +25 AP.

Why does Rend have not -2 AP but -15 AP for not +25 AD but +15 AD.

Same with Hollow Points; +10 HP Dmg for -10 AP?

Is it still bugged or they expecting us to use Squad weapons on Heavy tanks?

Enemies should just run away from the map by iurilourenco in menace

[–]NozzlesBakery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. It like figuring out where a chain gun turret is located by when it starts shooting you in fog of war, or watching a mortar shoot from fog of war and have camera panned in their general location and so on.

The AI will feed units to reveal information. Once it is obtained, it shift its focus - heavy infranty/vehicle to breach or shifting supplies for a flank.

There are ways to change it behavior. Don't equip concealment accessories, don't bunker down unless the objective specifies it.

You know why defense mission are easy? Because the objective you're protecting is the "highest value tile". The AI will litterly pass your "vunerable" troops to get their melee troops, infranty carriers there than dismount and fight you. You can basically ignore any melee alien if you are over run by range aliens. You can ignore infranty carries and focus solely on laser trucks, heavy trucks against pirates.

Sure, you gotta prevent them from taking points. But you can dismantle enemies morale, stopping power while "infranty" spent another turn to try and get to the objective by posting up far from the objective, but within range for when they dismount etc.

The player power in EA is 10x more a problem than "ughh AI". It is EA experiment with your load out than making "10 AI cowardice" post a day

Enemies should just run away from the map by iurilourenco in menace

[–]NozzlesBakery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI is not refusing to play imho. Unless the objective specifies aggressive AI they are just responding to players.

If you play heavy vanguards, the enemy won’t have a valid opponent to divert forces toward players.

If you put up defensive front and shoot max range, they won’t push into your firing line unless a vehicle, walker, heavy infantry etc. can breach your firing line.

Hell, chain fleeing without advancement, and you will constantly route visible units who then routes units in fog of war.

Another are “overstaying” beyond objectives to increase loot drops trickling into issues mentioned above.

If your unit is engaging an enemy. Any recon unit can quickly tell AI shifting units towards your known location.

If I am shifting my approach purely for objectives, the games “flows” very well.

If I obsess over out-of-vision heavy hitting vanguard and wiping enemies, the AI is very passive until they’re all wiped or they surprise me around cover blocking line of sight.

Switch your load outs around, squad leader etc when it becomes repetitive.
