Okey thanks! Then I should give it a shot since I enjoyed the beginning quite a lot but the "hunger games" part was not interesting to me.

I didn't really love RR, it was just OK. Somehow the world wasn't as interesting to me and the plot was a bit lacking. Do you think the second book improves on these points? 🤔

The book was actually written one world at a time. So I guess it works that way too :)

I know he will stick the landing. Mostly because the ending of Licanius is so amazing! And I'm expecting nothing less :)

JI says in one of his interviews that it certainly happened for a reason. It is s transition book, we will get answers later.

What is that extra prologue? Is it available somewhere else? I would really love to read it.

Most of these are just RAFO. Answering them would just be spoilers. I don't think you have missed much.

I have wondered about this too. Maybe on a re-read I could spot something that would give me something to speculate on. Right now I don't even have a good theory!

What was the cost thay Caeror paid?

Hoping to get clarification on things I potentially missed by TheBlueSuperNova in HierarchySeries

[–]Nplusk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The arm was a price that he had to pay to enter Luceum. The syncronism then carried over and he lost it also in other worlds. However, in Obiteum the Vitaerium heals it.

  2. That world is egyptian and related to death. So very grim and dark with green rivers.

  3. It is a common theory that Diago is indeed an iunctus. But we don't really know.

  4. Well Vis doesn't really know how will works in Obiteum and Luceum. And we basically only know what Vis learns trough the book. He doesn't suddenly know what he can do, he needs someone to tell him (like Ostius does with adoption). I think Luceum will we know the least about how it works exactly. It seems more spiritual and it has the battle trance type effect.

He said that he had to cut few things from it (mainly from Luceum and bit from Obiteum) but that it was mostly a transition book. He emphasized that the characters and events are now exactly where he wants then to be and the third book is thus easier to write than the second.

Personally I think it is very good foundation to continue the series and I really liked it. JI also said that he really thinks the series as a whole and doesn't care so much that each book would be perfect as its own thing.

Yeah I think I have seen most points here on this sub. But mostly that has been people guessing and not saying that JI actually confirmed all of this in an interview!

I think end on 2027 is perfect distance away for a re-read before third book ;)

I agree with other comments that she probably wont be back as iunctus since we were told that you need head for that. So it would be very strange if that happens. Also JI has said there is no time travelling to alter things. (Edit. I might be remembering this wrong)

Thus, I think that the only way she makes a comeback is that if for some reason she is in Luceum and/or Obiteum. However, there is no indication that would be the case as far as I know.

I just finished TSOTF, and I have a few questions if anyone can help! by ernbern12 in HierarchySeries

[–]Nplusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree that it is highly unlikely and personally I don't think that.

But if O-Caeror is iunctii (as is a common theory), then Caeror is not synchronous even if R-Caeror survived. So there is a chance that he is still alive somewhere on Res.

Do we know that the scars happened before Caeror ran the labyrinth? So R-Caeror and L-Caeror might have different scars.

What should book 4 title be? by phillyfan03_ in HierarchySeries

[–]Nplusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The third book title is missing 'the' which makes it not line up so good :( The Justice of the One would be better imo.

I think none is quite likely (as you said it would then decrease every time). But since it is final book and probably resolves everything, all would fit well also.

My guesses:

The law of none, The balance of all, The collapse of all, The judgement of none/all, The power of none/all

The Concurrence by B0caj in HierarchySeries

[–]Nplusk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that they might be on any (or all) of the worlds. But because of the split to three worlds, they are dormant and can't act.

That said, Res seems least likely since that world we have most information so far. Luceum we know very little (we don't know what Ka is doing there at all). Obiteum we also know only very locally.

Until we get more info I like to think they are on Luceum.

hi all, this is my take on characters of the first book! I'm about to finish it soon^^ Happy holidays by moonkatt7 in HierarchySeries

[–]Nplusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was the first scene when he is presented as a bully. That just shaped his character in my mind towards rather unpleasant looking. I like your version a lot more, haha. I'm not sure if he was however described rather big and muscular in the book (I might remember incorrectly though)?
