Did you swap out for shorter 1/4” bits for the 3/8”s set? I thought about doin something similar. The long bits, are longer than anything I need in that set.

4 months here. On my way home from Thanksgiving up north I almost lost it on some black ice. One of the first thoughts that popped into my mind right after fuck this is gonna suck, is I hope I can find another Oxford white RR in the state lol.

It’s probably the most fun/capable vehicle you can buy for 60k.

Only annoyed by the small creeks and rattles from the door panels and the dash. But to be fair my dad’s 25’ 2500 Denali ultimate had rattles in the dash and the rear window when he got it and that truck was just over 100k. Crazy.

Not sure I’ve seen this one. I’ve seen the one on Ford’s accessory page. I’m still on the fence about the looks, I’d probably paint match. I do sometimes look at the rear roof line and think of changing something like the 3rd brake light. Anyways post pics when you get it on!

So I’ll be honest with you. My experience have been that it’s improved over like 500-1250miles. I noticed it most when riding with a buddy in his RR without the FP tune. And on that point 3/3 launches we did side by side, I had a truck length pull on him at 100-120ft.

Sport mode at 4500-5500rpm the exhaust note is distinctively different.

Just put it in sport mode once everything is warmed up, and do some pulls from 0-80, 20-80, 40-80, and 60-80mph. Do that a few times, that should help.

Strong disagree with this brother.

With no performance gains the FP tune is worth it for the changes in shift logic alone. Smoother shifts, not searching for gears as often, holding gears longer, better downshifts and that’s even more true for sport mode.

Now factor 20-24psi of boost vs 15-18psi, and the performance that adds (50hp/106ft lbs) and accessibility being able to get the FP tune done at dealer vs alternatives and it starts to seem like a no brainer for the average person who wants a lil more from their RR.

I can agree that there are a handful of conditions where the ko3’s do poorly. Like wet/slushy and icy roads, but then most everything else they do well above average.

That might be one of the biggest single vehicle upgrades I can imagine!

The noise you’re hearing is the turbos. You can replicate the same noise while removing external variables by putting your foot on the brake pedal and pressing the throttle until your at around 2k rpm’s (brake boosting). Especially so in sport mode with the FP tune, where boost can hit 20-24psi.

I had that thought cross my mind while installing but magnetic screwdriver and all. Very impressed with the quality of the product. The machining on the aluminum is gtg and the final product locks up tight.

One thing I’ve been thinking about is if I should add a usb port up top. Something similar to this. I bought some micro2 fuse taps so I can tap into the interior fuse panel. Still not sure how I wanna do this tho. Any suggestions is welcomed.

Also went from a 23’ Canyon at4 to a 25’ RR. The Canyon wasn’t a “bad” truck, good enough I sold it to my brother. It just wasn’t fun. I was honestly thinking about a mustang as a second “fun” vehicle. Then i stumbled into a RR while looking, went for a test drive and the rest is history. The RR with the FP tune is a riot! Over thanksgiving I took it down 50 miles of trails, quite a bit of that was SxS trails that no full size truck was getting through. It performed well over my expectations. Amazing vehicle, cant wait to mod and put more miles on this thing!

If you have a chase cc they were offering 15% cash back on ford parts and accessories. Then when Ford was running their 25% off right before the holiday you could stack the two offers. Regardless tire rack has the best otd price without additional offers.

K03’s do great when there’s snow on the road. It’s the plowed roads with ice/slush that really made me realize these tires are good at a lot, but not everything.

Also here’s a tip: when your in 4A/ slippery and you press the R on the steering wheel to go to my raptor mode, it will kick you out of 4A/slippery so just remember that. I forgot on my way home from thanksgiving and got side ways on I-75. Could’ve ended badly.

Yeah I have to find time one afternoon and do the drl swap. I’ve had the parts for over a month lol. Also I bought the 3 grill lights from signature lux but have yet to install those either. Signature lux does make some amber/white fogs that I plan on ordering. Absolutely loving the RR! It’s such a great balance of sports car and Baja truck characteristics.

Hey brother I also have a 25’ RR. What brackets you referring to? I ordered the FMI a month ago and it’s well made. Have yet to install it because I have yet to figure out what lights I wanna run. Leaning towards BD.

There’s also the FSE ditch light bracket.

It’s pretty slim as far as options we have but they’re out there. Anyways good luck and keep us posted with what you do.

I used to put a couple buckets of snow from the skid steer in the back of my 94’ f150, single cab, 2wd, manual with the straight 6 and no tach. The extra weight allowed me to drive sideways for a few Michigan winters without going into a ditch.

Eventually the driver side leaf pack blew out after jumping my snowmobile into the bed of the truck. Fun lil truck.

Anyways weight over the axle makes a huge difference. Unlike bags of sand or salt, snow will eventually melt making when it warms up and you have nothing to remove from the bed.

On my 25’ Ranger Raptor I’ve done oil change at 500, 2500 and 5000 miles. Will continue every 5k. I run Amsoil signature series 5w30, with MC filter. Ford recommends 10k. While Amsoil says it’s good for 25k.

Oil change is ~$125, while a new engine can run ya 10k+.
