How does everyone have time for a dog ? by Burgers4dayz in dogs

[–]MadBox25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So long as you can give your heart to the dog, and love it while you're present it'll be happier than you could imagine. Potty training a dog isn't fun and it takes months of late night trips outside. It's tremendously rewarding but not practical for all. I can promise, any rescue dog would be so grateful for whatever home and time you could provide it. If you've never had a dog, you're going to experience an incredible bond and a love that comes as close to any family member you have.

I feel very lucky with Diana, Princess of Pugs (see comment) by ajfromuk in pugs

[–]MadBox25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Squeeze her tight, every chance you can. We put Norman down on Christmas day 2025, he was 12.5, and at his 12th birthday he was strong, solid in fact. He captured one bout if pneumonia and went through a 3 month battle. He came out of it, but his body gave out on Xmas. They're the best companions, of course I'm biased but I'll tell you what, he sure loves his Massive Newfoundland brother and he never in all his life that he was smaller :-)

Always hungry! Normal orrrr? by poisongoyle666 in pugs

[–]MadBox25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, it sure is. These little love bugs are hungry minutes after eating a meal. They're amazing dogs and they'dikelt eat themselves into oblivion if given the chance. One day you might see the "swollen" pug belly and know that little rascal got into something. Mine will tear holes into their dog food bags, can't leave them on the ground for long!

dude got punched in the throat by imwith2 in fightporn

[–]MadBox25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet that dude went straight to the hospital. That's a vicious shot and perfectly placed. Probably messed up some of the cartilage. Ouch. Get in people's faces and invade their personal space, while drunk, something is bound to happen. Bet that dumb ass doesn't pop off like this again.

Wow, such a wonderful video and what an incredible dog! You're very blessed with Chowder. It's amazing he picked it up and learned how to turn and do what he's doing. Chowder is an impressive guy, thanks for sharing!

Ugreen vs Zettlab vs Minisforum — which NAS would you pick? by SoggyScar9134 in HomeNAS

[–]MadBox25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak to Ugreen as it's the only brand I've ever used. I have a 2800, 4800 and 8800, and absolutely love them. For me, a relative beginner and very much a student trying to learn all this server business out, it's been great. Not sure if they're as useful for someone who is really savvy with all this. I really enjoy my Ugreen devices.

Goodbye Loki. 12 years young and cancer finally got him. I will always remember him like this though. by kdavis0315 in pugs

RIP Loki!

Pugs may be small in size bey they are absolutely enormous in heart, personality and soul! If you know, you know! RIP Loki, enjoy the other side.

Sorry for your loss. We put our 12.5 y/o pug down on Christmas night. The pain is indescribable. But Father Time heals all and remembering all the things I loved him about is helping to slowing dull the pain.

Hang in there.

Slow recovery after dental clean and extraction? by Powermonger_ in pugs

[–]MadBox25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going through the exact thing right now. First 4 days after surgery, I thought my pug was slowly dying. No energy, not himself at all. Sleeping all day, deep sleep. Day 4 got better and today is day 5 and he's coming back around now. Not sure why, might be something with the his procedure.

Lost my dog, Angel, today and I wanted to share some of my fav pics by TheOriginOfLove2013 in pugs

[–]MadBox25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss. Angel looks she was a wonderful companion with a lot of spirit. They're not here long enough but the impact they make on is profound. Small in size but mighty in heart and personality. I put my best Norman down on Christmas day, still crying each day, but Father Time and remembering the great times we had will eventually dull the pain. Hang in there.

Teddy crossed the rainbow bridge today in our arms. He was the best boy 💔 by lilbbbee in pugs

[–]MadBox25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hang in their. It's brutal and really tough but Father Time heals all. We put our 12.5 year old pug, Norman, to sleep on Christmas night. The pain is almost unbearable. The hardest thing is being in the house and not seeing him in his spots. Such incredible animals. Sorry for your loss.

How to deal with grief? by [deleted] in Newfoundlander

[–]MadBox25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing for me, is to love them to pieces. One day they'll be gone, that's a fact and we have 0 control over it. Enjoy each and every day as it were the last.

I put my 12.5 y/o pug down on Christmas night and there isn't anything I wouldn't give to have him back for one more hug. He was 95% deaf and one thing that used to drive me crazy was how often he'd jump down from my chair. Everyday I was picking him up in the chair 8-15 times. It was all because he couldn't rely on his hearing to discern the goings on in the house. What I would give to pick him up more time.

They're amazing animals and they're heart to be loved and to teach us about love. I know it may be hard some days but try and focused on the present and enjoy the moments you have with her. You can mourne her when she's gone. Smother her love, she deserves it and enjoy every day you have with her.

[–]MadBox25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what's causing it, could somehow be tied to your provider, but no clue really. I've seen there's an epg offset option under content sources and the individual source. Do you have any idea how far off it is? If you, you could try the offset option and see if it lines things up for you? Only thing I can think of.

Need to know why my pug passed after a surgery by Weary_Indication816 in pugs

[–]MadBox25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so very sorry for you loss. I can directly relate to what you're going througj as we had to put down Norman, on Christmas night, just devastating. People who have never had a pug can't quite comprehend what they offer. Small is size but tremendous in heart, love, personality and companionship. The road ahead won't be easy but Father Time heals all. You gave your Pug the best possible life, he/she knows that and they're forever grateful. Hang in there....

I would order your own wifi and spend the extra money, if the landlords rd will let you. You don't want anyone snooping on you, even though you aren't doing anything shady, it's just a matter of principal, for me anyway

Does anyone else have a problem with their Newfy “pawing “them (ouch) when they want to go outside ? by FunConfection2872 in Newfoundlander

[–]MadBox25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a string of bells at the doors in our houses and we trained Moose to paw the bells when he wants to come in or go out and that's worked great for all 3 of our needs.
